Awesome older theatre. It really seems odd calling it an older theatre but it is a fairly old building. I was told they did a major rennovation in 1986. And all I know it smells like every theatre i have ever been in with more than a couple hundred seats. Its not a bad smell, just a 'you know your in a theatre. Backstage is a theow back and very cool. They still have a rope and lead weight fly system jist like qe had in highschool theater way back in the 1980s. Most of the lighting is still incandescent and the use gool old fashion gels for light dispersion and colors. No LED or eletronic moving filters etc. Very large seatimg area and theater. Only hard part was locating the womens room at first. And for a large theater it has one major flaw. Limited reatrooms for people who need to go quickly. or if not large then multiple. I was able to locate a total of 3 seperate womens rooms which happens to include a restroom on floor 2 the green room. ,Which would technically be off limits during an actual play or...
Read moreWas there to work in a event at the Auditorium ..the place is very confusing and security people not helpful at all..I asked a security man where was the auditorium and he said ..which one.?...Staff were quite rude..and security..( same man I asked outside where the auditorium was) kept watching us all the time during our time to set up...like he totally forgot the parking lot existed..( to go and watch every now and then)...Long story short..Rude...

Would have 5 Stars any other night, but a Saturday night high school football on the campus across the street from the auditorium and TRAFFIC on the small university's campus was horrible (if you are at all familiar with Texas High School Football , you know what I'm talking about).
