This cute little place have a sweetness inside! We went here twice unfortunately the first time they sold all the available donuts which gave us an impression. Went back the next day. They have wide variety of donuts you can choose from, either you have sweet tooth or none they can probably cater your taste. The creativity of the donut was fun to look at too, a good place for kids and kid at heart. We asked for recommendation and they gave us Mr. O (Oreo) and strawberry match (i like matcha so it all worked out). The DOUGH was indeed better than other donut I’ve been to here in San Antonio, TX - it is soft and I think even you reheat it, it won’t feel dry. While the flavor of the donuts we had was lackluster for us we tasted the sweetness but aside from that there is little to none taste of the matcha, strawberry or oreo. Service was good, they will help you out, especially with picking the right flavor for you. The place was neat and only have indoor sitting. I would still go back to try other flavor and their drinks. (First time customer perspective)

Updated second time: Okay this time I know why they are so well known! I absolutely loved these donuts! The donuts are big and fluffy, and super tasty. The flavors were super interesting and amazing! I actually really enjoyed the cake donut which are usually not my favorite. My favorite this time around was blackberry lemon one. Simply wow. The price is definitely high, and I think it could be a bit less, but it is still an amazing experience. First time review: Great selection of donuts made daily. Arrived somewhat near closing so the donuts weren’t as fresh as the would be in the morning, but still very good. Tried the Nutella with crumbles donuts and the French toast one. The French toast was very good, with some crunch cereal and bacon. A good mix of sweet and sour flavors with crunch texture. The Nutella donuts was just as you would expect, a fluffy chocolate donut with some crunchy toppings. Nothing crazy, but very good. Overall really liked the place!

This is my second time coming to The Art of Donut, and it is really good!!! The first time we came we tried the Lemon Frosted Flakes (a yeast donut), and it was amazing!!! This time we tried the Blackberry Lime (a yeast donut), the Brownie (a cake donut), and the Old Fashioned (a cake donut). The Blackberry Lime was by far my favorite, it was soooooooo tasty!!! The Brownie is VERY chocolatey, and kind of one note, but it’s good if you’re a chocoholic. The Old Fashioned wasn’t a typical old fashioned and reminded us of a churro, but it still tasted like an old fashioned. My only complaint (you can’t really go wrong with donuts 😉) is that I felt like the cake donuts were slightly dense. We came at around 8:45am on a Saturday, and there was, surprisingly, no line!!! The cashier was very nice (she suggested we get the Blackberry Lime). I would give this place 4.5 stars! I would definitely come back here, and you should come too!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

As a seasoned Google review expert and enthusiastic local guide, it is my absolute pleasure to share my exceptional experience at The Art of Donut, located at 3428 N St Mary's St, San Antonio, TX 78212. Let me tell you, this charming little donut shop has completely stolen my heart with its delectable treats and warm, welcoming atmosphere!

From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted by the tantalizing aroma of freshly baked donuts that instantly made my mouth water. The display case was a colorful array of artistic creations, each donut looking more irresistible than the last. I could tell right away that this was no ordinary donut shop - this was a place where passion and creativity met to deliver a truly unique culinary experience.

Let's talk about the donuts themselves - pure perfection in every bite! The Art of Donut offers a wide variety of flavors and designs, from classic favorites like glazed and chocolate to innovative creations like maple bacon and fruity pebbles. Every donut was a work of art, lovingly crafted with attention to detail and a commitment to quality that shone through in every aspect.

The texture of the donuts was spot-on - light, fluffy, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The flavors were bold and distinct, with just the right amount of sweetness to satisfy even the most discerning sweet tooth. It was clear that the ingredients used were of the highest quality, resulting in a taste sensation that left me craving more.

But the excellence of The Art of Donut doesn't stop at their incredible pastries. The service was equally impressive, with friendly and knowledgeable staff who were eager to help me navigate the vast selection of donuts and make recommendations based on my preferences. Their passion for their craft was evident, and their genuine enthusiasm only added to the overall delightful experience.

In addition to the exceptional donuts and service, the ambiance at The Art of Donut was cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a leisurely morning treat or a quick pick-me-up during the day. The decor was charming, the seating comfortable, and the overall vibe was one of warmth and hospitality that made me feel right at home.

I must also mention the prices at The Art of Donut, which were incredibly reasonable considering the quality and artistry of the donuts. It's clear that this establishment values providing their customers with not only delicious treats but also great value for their money, making it a go-to destination for donut lovers of all ages.

In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend The Art of Donut to anyone in search of a truly exceptional donut experience. Whether you're a local resident or a visitor to San Antonio, this gem of a shop is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates top-notch pastries, friendly service, and a welcoming ambiance. Thank you, The Art of Donut, for exceeding my expectations and delighting my taste buds - I will most certainly be back for more of your delightful...

I ordered from here through an app in January, and the yeast donuts had such a horrible chemical taste to the dough part that I couldn't eat them. I actually tasted each one and they all had it. The cake donut was good, and the coffee was fine, but the other donuts tasted like someone had poured a chemical or plastic into the dough, or they had cleaned the fryer with something and left it in the oil. It was awful. I left this info on the delivery app review and used the help function but apparently food tasting horrible doesn't warrant a refund. I was going to be forgiving and order again assuming that this was a one time mistake in the baking process, but I went and looked at other reviews first, and found random other people saying the same exact thing over 2 years ago, with the store responding, but apparently they chose not to change anything or even taste their own donuts. I've made donuts at home, and have been eating donuts since I was old enough to do so, and have never tasted anything like this. I even pulled one apart and tasted just the inside without toppings after some water to make sure what I was tasting was the dough. It was. Many people probably don't notice because they focus on the fancy toppings. I didn't notice until I was almost done with my first one, the maple bacon one, but it was really obvious with the plain glazed, and then it was noticeable with all of them, and so gross that I couldn't eat any more. I even called and left them a voicemail. I doubt I will be eating their food again unless I hear that they have identified and solved...

After 2 years of living here in SA, I was finally able to visit this establishment. Anytime there is the phrase ' The Art of...', I look at it as a personal challenge to see if the name and the product match and let me tell you that they don't disappoint. From the moment you walk in, you can tell that time and effort was put into the decor to give you a hint that they are looking to stand out. Now, I'm not a classic donut and coffee everyday type person but when I do want one, Dunkin is not the place I'm looking for. I have to tell you that these are probably the top 1 or 2 best tasting donuts I've ever eaten. Again, the key being taste, you actually taste the ingredients, they are not just full of sugar to mask the lack of quality. I had the German Chocolate donut and you could tell as soon as you took the first bite that the chocolate was definitely good quality and then the topping was as they say, the icing on the cake. Not your typical franchise donuts at all and to top it off, they are huge, so don't go there thinking your paying franchise prices but it's well worth it. Don't leave without a great cup of coffee too, my preference is iced and it didn't disappoint either. Thanks for a great donut that actually ended up being my lunch because there was no room left in my...
