Read moreI ordered from here through an app in January, and the yeast donuts had such a horrible chemical taste to the dough part that I couldn't eat them. I actually tasted each one and they all had it. The cake donut was good, and the coffee was fine, but the other donuts tasted like someone had poured a chemical or plastic into the dough, or they had cleaned the fryer with something and left it in the oil. It was awful. I left this info on the delivery app review and used the help function but apparently food tasting horrible doesn't warrant a refund. I was going to be forgiving and order again assuming that this was a one time mistake in the baking process, but I went and looked at other reviews first, and found random other people saying the same exact thing over 2 years ago, with the store responding, but apparently they chose not to change anything or even taste their own donuts. I've made donuts at home, and have been eating donuts since I was old enough to do so, and have never tasted anything like this. I even pulled one apart and tasted just the inside without toppings after some water to make sure what I was tasting was the dough. It was. Many people probably don't notice because they focus on the fancy toppings. I didn't notice until I was almost done with my first one, the maple bacon one, but it was really obvious with the plain glazed, and then it was noticeable with all of them, and so gross that I couldn't eat any more. I even called and left them a voicemail. I doubt I will be eating their food again unless I hear that they have identified and solved...
Read moreAfter 2 years of living here in SA, I was finally able to visit this establishment. Anytime there is the phrase ' The Art of...', I look at it as a personal challenge to see if the name and the product match and let me tell you that they don't disappoint. From the moment you walk in, you can tell that time and effort was put into the decor to give you a hint that they are looking to stand out. Now, I'm not a classic donut and coffee everyday type person but when I do want one, Dunkin is not the place I'm looking for. I have to tell you that these are probably the top 1 or 2 best tasting donuts I've ever eaten. Again, the key being taste, you actually taste the ingredients, they are not just full of sugar to mask the lack of quality. I had the German Chocolate donut and you could tell as soon as you took the first bite that the chocolate was definitely good quality and then the topping was as they say, the icing on the cake. Not your typical franchise donuts at all and to top it off, they are huge, so don't go there thinking your paying franchise prices but it's well worth it. Don't leave without a great cup of coffee too, my preference is iced and it didn't disappoint either. Thanks for a great donut that actually ended up being my lunch because there was no room left in my...
