OMG FOREAL? WHY even Bother having umbrellas at the tables if we can't even use them? Had I known I would've brought some for my HOT GUESTS! It was a super hot day and we had rented out a table for a 2 hours for my daughter's birthday party. I'm glad that we ordered stuff extra online while we called in the birthday availability. Because apparently you can't order anything else when you're there even though they said on the phone that we could. Basically we couldn't order any extra popcorn or ice cream for my extra parents. Although we can't do anything about the sun I could've still done more to cool off my people. I was unable cool off my guests without any shade or any ice cream or any ice for our drinks. We ordered 10 popcorns 10 ice creams seven pizzas and two gallons of punch and 2 gallons of lemonade but got no ice and couldn't order ice cream for extra children we had. Candice said they only preorder and wouldn't have enough for other parties booked. The female helper assigned didn't do much and I had to ask for ice because we never got any. They should have a tarp above the tables because we're not allowed to use the umbrella cause apparently they fly off during wind advisory which is LIKE EVERYDAY...Isaac helped get items we were missing but couldn't do anything about a high chair or stroller...ISNT THIS KIDDIE PARK FOR KIDS? CHILDREN? Parents carry their children or hold them or walk them already every day all day...so for me to be told to go to the zoo and ask for a stroller is ridiculous. We were not happy spending over 450$ for two hours of an unpleasant ordeal. As a parent the last thing I wanted to do was run around and ask for things we already paid for days earlier online. My guest didn't look to pleased either. Maybe tickets to the zoo or admission back in to have another experience would change my families mind. Was hoping to leave a more positive review but I'm unable to. I would've had more pictures had I not had to go home for a stroller or run around kiddie Park asking for our party purchases...I (her father) missed half her party :( At least my 3 year old daughter who had the party had fun. And that's all that matters...this was on Saturday the 23rd of April :( -brc media....I forgot to mention they have color coded wrist bands so if your party time is up your children aren't allowed to ride the rides which is dumb because we paid for the admission via party package which didn't state time limit on rides. NOT FAIR AND NOT RIGHT...LUCKILY the guy who had to push the bus around to get started let them ride one more time.... unbelievably...
Read moreThis is a historical treasure, that young children will always remember. Some of these reviews are from cheap tourists expecting Disneyland instead of the Texas vibe, and culture it offers. Most toddlers can't ride anything at all because of height requirements, but can freely enjoy all the rides for only $14 a wristband ALL DAY LONG. They never complain about bringing your own small snacks, and water bottles which is unheard of in most theme parks. The workers are out in the heat, and still give excellent service. There is a starbucks a block away for never ending complainers, and moms that need coffee. It's a part of San antonio that has been there since 1918, and I hope is still there when my children have children, just like it was for me, and my parents as well. I cannot stress enough how awesome it is, and crazy affordable! The rides still have original engineering which is far more advanced than most modern rides which are created without a single nod to safety, and wind up killing or injuring kids in the process to have that trendy look in social media posts. We never have an issue waiting for rides, and they will run the entire machine just for one kid, if they are in line. We go on Fridays, when most places are packed, and still have no issues. They don't have a ton of food options, nor do they need them? There are a million restaurants around, or just be better parents, and always keep food handy for your kids, like you would anywhere else in the world? These bad reviews are the reasons why historical places get shut down, so think twice before taking a piece of Texas history from those who love it dearly. You don't have to pay for parking at the zoo next door, if you drive up a block or two down on the right, there are long rows of steet parking always available. They have clean restrooms, and your little ones will love it. This is not a place for older kids to enjoy. It's a blessing for the tiny ones to have their own experience they will never forget. After you get done, take a stroll over to the river, and look the ducks or cool off your feet in the shallow end. The trees alone are worth the time. God bless this place. I hope it stays going forever for even more generations of Texans and transplants from other...
Read moreA couple of days ago I went with my two girls. I had two Book of Free coupons for unlimited rides wrist bands. Each of my girls handed the older lady at the ticket window a coupon. The lady said, "You can only use one coupon; it's only one coupon per customer, per day." I said, "We are three customers." She responded, "Kids are not considered customers; only adults are considered customers; you are the only customer. Kids can not pay for their own merchandise." I said, "sometimes at HEB they pay for their own stuff with their own money." She then called the manager. The manager came (he was about 18 years old); he said, "you can only use one coupon." I said the same thing that I told the older lady. I also added, "this is deceiving; it says one coupon per customer; it should be stated more clearly." He said,"it is stated clearly." He said, "Kids cannot pay for their own stuff." I said, when they go to HEB, sometimes they pay for their own stuff. He said, "this is not HEB!" I think they should have written in the back of their coupon the following: One coupon per family, per visit. This would have made it more clear. I was so disappointed at the poor customer service from these two people; two say that my kids "are not customers" What are they then, "invisible people." Prior to this incident I had decided to buy snacks for my kids from their concessions; not after what happened. Prior to this incident, I had considered having a birthday party at Kiddie Park for my youngest child, not any more. When businesses give such poor customer service, they shoot themselves in the foot. Two other businesses gave me very poor customer service, I never went back to neither of them. I can take my business somewhere else; San Antonio is a big city, there are many other places that I can...
