Highly recommended if you're looking for a more solemn and earnest Holy Mass!!!
It is a small, simple, humble, welcoming and beautiful Church --- both people and structure (even though the building is supposed to be a temporary one). The priest is very witty and always gives meaningful, relevant and deep homilies. And even though Filipinos and Hispanics primarily make up the members of the church, it is actually quite diverse. The deacon from Zimbabwe is also very good!
We are not members of this parish but we first went here 4 years ago. We noticed that the 12nn choir is getting better and have new members (10am and 12nn cantors both have beautiful and angelic voices!). They also have new and younger altar servers and more kids are getting involved during the mass (e.g. offering). They usually have potluck after 12nn mass and the food is mainly Filipino. I think it is a great way to know and mingle with the church goers.
Few weeks ago, as we got out of the mass, we saw a loooot of little kids (some with their parents) attending their Religious Education and praying the Holy Rosary altogether. It was so touching and so beautiful! ❤️
One thing though... it is delightful to see that a lot of parents take their children to church. But, more and more kids are crowding the adoration and Tabernacle area. A quiet church is a dying church. So, hopefully they finish the designated baby/cry room soon to keep the adoration area as it should be.
All in all, my family is definitely coming back here! If you're a Catholic who is looking for a welcoming place to worship, definitely visit Senyor Santo Niño de Cebu and experience Catholic doctrine and Filipino tradition. If you're a non-Catholic and is open to know the faith, this might be the place for you to start a wonderful metamorphosis.
To anyone who's never been here, give this parish a visit once. May God...
Read moreI'm in my 70's, with h my wife, traveling, and having a neighbor back home from the Philippines so I decided to attend noon Mass for the experience. A wonderful experience for me. A small church by Catholic standard, quietly lit, focus on the crucifix up front. The faith filled respectful congregation was welcoming. The kids all behaved, amazing. The pastor was very good, drawing his homily from the readings, but also from regular literature anyone night have read, and even a movie he watched while traveling. He did an amazing job of weaving these sources into a message, and like a symphony with a booming end, ending with the message that God is your treasure (that's where your heart should be.) . We've been to several others churches here on previous trips, but will definitely want to change back to this one. . Caveat- if you're uncomfortable with Mass with foreign languages, this one has all of the sung responses in Tagalong. The priest's words are all in English. But it's the Mass. It's the Mass all over the...

Father Martin Parayno possesses a sharp wit, delivering homilies that resonate long after the final blessing. The diverse congregation, a delightful blend of cultures, adds richness to the worship. And the Zimbabwean deacon, John Chikature? A true testament to the universality of faith.
The post- Mass potlucks, primarily featuring Filipino cuisine, offer a delicious opportunity for fellowship. Come prepared to share a meal and connect with fellow parishioners.
