Big Fish, little pond! This market is a gem! No need to travel to the far east to get a genuine taste of what an authentic Asian supermarket looks, feels and smells like. Prepare to spend way more time exploring the huge variety of products here! It is a wonderful, immersive experience! This is where you go when you need that rare, hard to find sauce, spice or Asian vegetable. Their fish market is unbelievable and unequaled by any other local supermarket. My partner and I went here recently each looking for a specific type of vinegar. Goodness! We must have gone through a hundred different variations and flavors of vinegar! Amazing! In the end, my partner bought about six different vinegars, I bought about 10 different ones and we also found several sauces that we needed for specific Asian recipes. They have a full variety of necessary Asian cookware available here, more bags of rice than you can shake a stick at, and their bags of frozen eggrolls are outstanding - both in taste and size. Every type of eggroll you can just about imagine is here. It is almost impossible to visit this store and not buy something! Their selection is...
Read moreThis is the place to go for all your international cooking. The variety of Asian based spices, cuisine, ingredients etc THIS IS THE PLACE. somethings can be a little pricey, but it's an international store, thst can be expected. Customer service is always top notch. One of my favorite things is being able to pick out whatever fish infant ans they'll clean it and even cook it for you on the spot, or they'll clean it and you can take it home and cook how you want. They even have a little pho/noodle restaurant in the back. The cook ware and variety of frozen inventory they have is GREAT. plus access to uncommon cuts of meat like chicken feet, chicken hearts, pork and beef hearts, intestines, pork blood etc...stuff you don't normally find in mainstream markets are here and I love that. They have very comparable meat prices as well. Only thing I'm bumbed out about...enoki mushrooms used to be $1.00 per pack. Now they're like almost $4 per pack. Enoki mushrooms are my favorite. Other than that any noodle, rice, asian/indian cuisine need thst you might be looking for...you will...
Read moreWhen I first immigrated here and settled into an apartment I would frequently go here with my dad to do groceries. We would always walk by this stall and smell all the delicious fumes emanating from the kitchen. One day I finally convinced my dad to eat here in the dead of winter. We had the combination pho. Some experiences are so special that they engrave themselves to a piece of you and you keep referencing future experiences to that. This was what this place gave me to pho. That was my first time ever eating pho and I was hooked for life. We moved 3 years later but whenever I eat pho, which is frequent especially when it's colder, I always reference it back to this place. Me and my mom ate here recently and the place has definitely upgraded. The same bowl of pho I've had almost 18 years ago now still holds up. I've had good and better bowls of pho since coming here that's for sure. But that's only because I've been blessed to have this place serve me my first bowl of...
