South Swell Hand Dipped Ice Cream — Restaurant in San Clemente

Went to South Swell in San Clemente and it was a really good experience. They have a solid variety of flavors and different options to pick from, which made it tough to choose. The girl working at the front was super sweet and gave us some insight into which flavors were the most popular and her personal favorites, which helped a lot. We ended up going with a Butterfinger dipped popsicle and a vanilla soft serve topped with coconut and chocolate. The coconut honestly surprised me. It had such a good crunch and was not overpowering at all. The soft serve itself was perfect. Great flavor, super creamy, and paired really well with the chocolate. My favorite was definitely the Butterfinger popsicle. The crunch from the chocolate dip mixed with the peanut butter drizzle was just next level. Such a good balance of flavor and texture in every bite. It is a great little spot with beautiful views all around. You can easily imagine it being the perfect stop during the hot summers. Ice cream is amazing. I usually have a great experience here. I went last night with some of my family members. When I ordered the item named “Deez Nuts” on the menu (this is what I really wanted and was not being facetious when I ordered) the lady taking my order relayed my message to the other staff members very sarcastically and in a manner of assuming I was trying to be weird. They never relay their message to the other staff members because I been coming here for a year and a half now. Why did she do that? My family loves this place. I just wanted my ice cream and not a weird feeling after me saying “deez nuts”. Change the dam name if it makes you uncomfortable. I’m with my family, not trying to be weird.
