Upselling is upsetting: Hello, I went in for a new phone and came out frustrated. I’ll try and be as pragmatic as possible, so bear with me- 1. I was told that my old trade in was going to be worth $700, towards a new phone. This never happened. I went back to the store and I was told the trade in was only half that amount, thus, untruthful Bait and Switch- I emphasized I did not want a new plan; since I had been with.Verizon for over 2 decades. However, after 30 days I noticed I was on a new plan that was more expensive and did not allow for the same service than I had before. 3. I was told that I could “upgrade” my router for no additional costs to a better more powerful internet. I asked 3x’s, (since I had already been deceived), & I saw that the new router would’ve been $20 more per month. The young man in the store replied with a, “Oh, ya,” less than appropriate response.
I don’t like giving negative reviews, however my elongated and frustrating experience with this Verizon store (San Clemente) needs to be addressed and mentioned. It seems like this must be a training issue with the employees here at the Verizon store San Clemente. Word of mouth here in San Clemente is your best advertising campaign; negative interactions...
Read moreI hate leaving negative reviews but the lack of customer service I was able to get was astonishing. To be fair, I was trying to close my account, not open a new one, so I was low priority to them, of course. The problem is that as soon as I transferred my service to another provider, Verizon deleted my customer account so I had no way to access it online. Nor were the clerks able to help me in the store. It was impossible for me to get a customer service agent on the phone, which was incredibly frustrating. I will say, the salesperson in the store knew a hack to bypass the automated phone tree (using my phone, not one of their own) so I was able to get to a live person, but they were not able to help me either. I was afraid of being dinged a late charge and didn’t want to risk my credit, so I over paid for service I didn’t use to make sure it was paid on time. In the end, I let it go, saying good riddance to Verizon. (T-Mobile is my new provider and has been awesome, btw — better service, much lower cost. It was def worth the hassle of switching. The sales reps at the store in San Clemente were...
Read moreJustin is a terrible & dishonest salesperson, and from my experience; the worst liaison this company can have representing them and dealing with the public on their behalf, truly one of the most vile and unlikeable people I’ve ever had the misfortune of encountering. Before he begrudgingly helped me, he was sitting & watching YouTube, (seriously- he’s getting paid to sit & relax?) and then while assisting me, he told me I HAD to buy a accessories bundle in order to get a ongoing promotion to which I did under his direction (he’s very pushy). It never said this particular stipulation outright on the promotional page so I called Verizon after the fact and they told me that this was actually TOTALLY false and not necessary to get the deal I wanted. Not fair or honest in the slightest & completely unprofessional. It’s truly baffling how people like Justin who are so dismissive and untrustworthy,...
