Extremely disappointed with ABC PB.. Been taking my dogs here... always noticed they're money motivated, but neither of my dogs had issues for me to want to find another vet. My cheapest appointment was just shy of $600 and that's just coming in for vaccines and check up. They will find a way to get as much money out of you as possible. My minpin started to get skin and eye issues... ABC is doing nothing but running the same tests we've already tested. They put him on a bacteria controlling eyedrop and eye lubrication for dry eye. I've came many times to pick up the eye medicine when I run out.. last time I came they wouldn't sell it to me. Said I need to come in for a full appointment and run tests again. If he's been deemed negative or positive for a test multiple times why keep running it when the issue obviously isn't going away. They were in there about a month and a half ago so it hasn't been over a year. Ran these tests 4+ times wasting money.. I've spent over $8000+ in the past year there. And the only issue my dogs have is one has dry eye. I spoke to Alyssa, the vet manager.. She was extremely unprofessional, condescending, and rude. Doesn't know what she's talking about.. kept changing the reason why they won't sell me the eyedrops and why I need to come in and spend another $1000 on tests. She laughed when I told her my dog can't see and is bumping into things. I have proof of an ophthalmologist and dermatologist specialist appointment coming up. After arguing w/ Alyssa I explained I'm not coming here again and I'm leaving a review... after that she said "hold on I can the eyedrop filled for you." I ended up leaving and going to a different vet who ensured they will keep me in supply of these eyedrop's till the specialist has this eye issue in control without running the tests. The eye gunk is before the eye drops the other picture is one day after.. ABC has financially robbed me... Failed my dog and Alyssa has awful business management skills.
I've had many other bad experiences and have witnessed many bad experiences at this Vet... I am glad that I am now out and gone. Nicole... please don't respond to this review as you guys have utterly failed my dogs and I... Since day one you guys have showed me nothing but money hungry, uneducated, unsympathetic care.. I already spent an hour arguing with rude Alyssa and don't want to go back-and-forth with you guys anymore. She had every chance to not make me draw the line...
Read moreI never write reviews. Good or bad. And I mean NEVER. If I like a place, I go back. If I dont, I dont. However, this instance deserved a review and specifically the individual I dealt with yesterday (Thursday 11/16/17) afternoon.
I have a Czechoslovakian Vlcak. Vlcak means dog of wolves in Czech. This is a dog breed, but a little closer to our furry friends' ancestors than most. I love my dog, Cyprus or Cy for short, with all my heart and he is family to me and my close group of friends. Cyprus HATES going to the vet. Maybe he senses that I am always a little nervous going there with him, maybe he just doesn't love strangers needing to grab at and handle him an a weird environment. Cant say I blame him honestly.
This obviously makes me nervous anytime I have to go in to get his vaccines updated. Well yesterday was different. I went in to get his shots, and after I put his muzzle on, the woman at the front desk (I wish I remembered her name but my attention was 100% on Cy) offered to take him in the back to gfive him his shots. No other vet has ever offered to hold his leash, let alone take him anywhere by himself without me. I objected saying I should be there in case he gets defensive like he has in the past. She confidently stated that it will be better without me because he may just be protecting me and that she would handle it better on her own. I almost couldn't get over how confident she was. Well, I reluctantly gave her the reins to my larger-than-average pup, and paced the waiting area while my roommate, who I brought as reinforcements laughed at me.
She came back in unbder 2 minutes, shots received, wolfdog gallopping about almost as if he knew he had done something special! We showered him with treats and I gave her a big hug. I had been stressing this vit for a couple days leading up to this vist due to previous encounters with past vets. I walked out feeling like I just won a marathon! This woman's confidence, willingness to try a different approach, and prefessionalsim made my day, week, month and beyond! I will be going back to ABC Vet for every and all of Cyprus' needs, and will be sure to spread the good word. He will be posting tons of praise on his social media account ( @cyprus_snow ).
Cant say enough good things about this place, and especially my angel of a receptionist / vet tech. HIghly, reccomend top anyone with a dog (I am sure all pets) of any shape, size, and personality.
Thank...
Read moreWe have three rescue bully breeds. We had to say GOODBYE one of our baby a month ago.
We have been going Vet last 4 years almost every month. We got manipulated and ripped by different Vet for years. They never able to find out our dog main problem, but they assume and prescribed medications for our dog nonstop. God knows what’s going on back of these doors…
When we met Dr. Nicole Svehla, she changed our dogs life. Rosa (Bullterier): She did not want to walk or do any activity. She found out that Rosa had infection in very deep ear canals that she was suffering from this for years. She also had cushion disease. She cleaned her ears and put her on medication. She is a brand new dog and she loves to play and interact now. We got Yuki from shelter 6 months ago, she was on 48 killing list. She had many issues, Dr. Svehla healed her and ABC Vet showed a lot of care and love for her, her first Vet impression was so good that she doesn’t afraid to go Vet.
Sakura is our other rescue and come our life when she was 5 weeks old. She was not a dog but a human in shape of dog. She was very emotional dog and she loves to interact with people and kids. Unfortunately, she suffered in wrong Vet hands for three years. When we met Dr. Nicole, she immediately send us neurologist, she found us good doctor for it. We finally found out that our dog has Storage disease and it has no cure.
Our dog was suffering from Storage disease all this years . Previous Vet hospital Veterinarian were just pumping medicine with assumption in my baby girl body. I ll never forgive them.
ABC Vet team and Dr. Nicole was with us during our dog Sakura last several months. They support us every way. They send us a beautiful letter after we said Goodbye to Sakura. Dr. Nicole gave gentle Goodbye our baby at home. We are very thankful for their kindness and generosity. We are blessed to have Dr. Nicole as our Veterinarian and we are blessed to have ABC Pasific beach Vet team to support us during our most difficult time. They made a beautiful box for our baby ashes and we put their letter near our baby ashes.
Many Veterinarian can’t understand that dogs are part of our family, our children, our companion, our best friend, our soul mate. They deserve to be treated like a child and should get care like a child.
After hurtful experience, I only can trust Dr. Nicole Svehla and ABC Vet team for my dogs. I will never ever take any...
