My spouse and I recently stayed at one of Bluewater’s properties for our 5-night honeymoon, August 1st - August 6th, 2024, and we wanted to advise other travelers to our concerns. We’ll start off by saying that we chose this rental from the photos and its location, and expecting a beautiful and relaxing experience, and we will say that the views are amazing and the master bedroom bed is very comfortable, but that is where the positive experience ends. We booked this “experience” through American Express, thinking that with their phenomenal support of traveler experiences over the years, that the property would be unmatchable, and unfortunately, our stay was marred by numerous unacceptable conditions that we feel compelled to provide. **1. Cleanliness:** - We noticed visible stains on the rugs, nightstands, and furniture throughout the condo. - The TV remotes were sticky and covered in hair, so much so we didn't even use them - The upstairs patio was disgusting and covered in seagull droppings and palm tree seeds, making it unusable. **2. Bathroom Problems:** - The bathroom sink was extremely slow to drain, and upon further inspection, we found it clogged with hair and other unpleasant gunk. **3. Window Issues:** - A significant selling point of this condo was the full glass sliding wall with a ocean view. Unfortunately, one of the shades was missing and shoved in a corner, the other was broken, extended onto the floor, and wouldn’t open. This blocked our view and prevented us from fully enjoying the space as intended and gave the appearance of poor repair and maintenance. -Upon arrival, all of he windows were spattered in bird droppings, although they did let us know that someone would be out the following afternoon to clean them. They cleaned most of them but left a couple of others. Not a huge deal, but again, considering the price point, not really the mark of the experiences they promote. **4. Hidden Filth:** - The most shocking discovery was a dirty child’s pull-up diaper behind the TV in the guest room. This is where we stored our luggage as well as the wedding dress! Even though it was three weeks ago, this still makes my skin crawl. Finding this during our honeymoon was deeply disturbing and totally unacceptable!!! **5. Poor Maintenance and Broken Equipment:** - Since we were staying for multiple days, we brought fewer clothes so that we could wash them as necessary, so having a washer and dryer was a great option… if they were maintained and working properly. The clothes washer is rusted to the point where the detergent drawer doesn’t close all the way and the dryer wouldn’t work properly because of a flashing code on the display. No manuals were left behind, so after about 20 minutes of searching the internet, we discovered that the code was for a clogged filter, (there are 3 different ones on this unit), all were filthy, but the worst was the primary intake filter, it appeared to have never been cleaned or replaced and caused the dryer to not work properly, we basically had to remove the secondary lint trap, (after cleaning it), multiple times to get the code to reset long enough for us to use. The main lint trap doesn’t recess all the way, so the dryer damaged two pairs of swim trunks during the cycle. -The dishwasher’s support brackets that keep it in place during operation were broken off, and the upper spray unit that washes the upper rack was broken by others and laying in the upper tray. We also experienced other minor issues that would be typical in a beach rental, but the above are the most severe and greatly impacted our enjoyment of the property. In the end, we were expecting a much higher standard of cleanliness and maintenance, especially given the significance of our stay and the premium price we paid, plus it being offered through American Express. We were provided a couple of nominal discounts, but considering our experience, we feel it to be a substandard concession.

The Breakers 2 313 Gravilla Street LaJolla, CA Sept 15-19, 2024 Positives: -Spacious -Comfortable beds -Quiet neighborhood -Convenient parking -Location close to beach, restaurants, grocery, shops -Good lighting -A/C worked -Well-functioning kitchen -Good WiFi -Rooftop deck space lovely Disappointments: -Furniture upholstery, carpets, area rugs, curtains are dirty & in need of cleaning or replacement throughout entire home. Upper living room curtains drag at the floor several inches & show that they have taken up water in the past, as there is a dirt line showing this the bottom 6” of curtain -Upper living room area rug is a tripping hazard at the corner by kitchen, living room & top of stairway. Mitigated this by moving a chair over it to avoid accident -Kitchen/dining window screens & sills dirty. Wished we could’ve opened for fresh air, but that wasn’t healthy to breathe in. -Safety issue: top board of spiral staircase is soft and rotting -Shower door in upper bathroom has dark mold/mildew/gunk on the entire lower frame area -Shower curtain and liner in lower bathroom that the queen rooms share were not clean, especially liner that had calcification/gumminess & in need of replacement -Both lower queen bedroom carpets smelled from pets (cat and dog) -No sheet set with blanket and pillows for sofa sleeper. -House technically sleeps 8, but only 6 sets of towels provided. Was difficult for our family to get ready on our daughter’s wedding day. There are more things to point out, but I ran out of available characters typing. For a $5.5 million dollar property, this should have been better than this.

Excellent location for people watching, Beach access, and visits to Belmont Park. We had an incredible stay in this very wonderfully and professionally remodeled condo that was Secure, quiet for the area, and Incredibly conveniently located. We were happy we did not need a car which made the lack of nearby parking a non-issue for us. Great insulation in the walls meant even late night party goers at the bar next door could not be heard, and our little one slept like a champ. Boogie boarding certainly helped 😴 The complimentary beach gear rentals were super helpful for us and saved us a ton of logistics planning and money which we gladly used on writing the Grand Dipper roller coaster- the rest will have to go to chiropractic care for daring to get on that old bone rattling box of wood! 🤣 All jokes aside, the host was incredibly responsive to our every little ask and was proactive in ensuring our stay was as comfortable as can be. I'm sad we had to leave mid week and spend our money at Legoland instead. If we could do it all over again, we'd make the drive both days instead and stayed longer here at one of the best places in Mission Beach- We can't wait to return!

We throughly enjoyed our multi-generational family stay at Endless Vista Property in La Jolla area. The highlights included the spaciousness of the common areas and all the windows bringing the outdoors in! The location worked out well for our travels to SeaWorld, San Diego Zoo, La Jolla sites and Torres Pines. We paid the daily fee to heat the pool and were pleasantly surprised on the water temperature. (We have been disappointed many times at other properties on supposed “heated” pool temps) Both the pool and spa were used often and greatly enjoyed, so much so, that when the pool pump went out over the weekend, we were very happy for the very prompt repair! (We were provided a refund on the couple days the pool was not heated) The Spa accommodated 6 people and heated to 102 degrees (no charge for spa heat) The pool was huge, allowing for lap swimming with the deep end being 8ft. There was ample pool seating with loungers and patio table and chairs as pictured. The covered patio was also enjoyed daily (several comfy naps), although there were only 2 oversized chairs. The two single chairs shown in the listing were not there, we simply brought patio table chairs over to add seating. There was a boardwalk along the rear of the property offering great views of the city (which could also be seen from the house as the photos show) There were a few outdoor games at the property including bocce, connect four, & croquet which were nice additions to enjoy the spacious and lovely backyard. Indoors we enjoyed the grand piano and “grand” spaciousness of the house! We used all three siting areas, allowing separation of activities yet still being together. While the house is aging a bit (to be expected), the interiors were beautiful, interesting and clean. There were two dishwashers which we thought excessive at first, but we ended up using regular, while one was washing, we could start the next round of dirty dishes without leaving in the sink) A few things we would have appreciated: felt pads on the bottom of stools/chairs, resealable food containers, working light over cooktop (underside of microwave), another frying pan and a few mixing type bowls. Bedrooms were spacious and most were located down a hallway, keeping common space noise to a minimum. The mattresses could use replacing, but we all felt they were acceptable. Bedding was comfortable and ample. The main bedroom had a lock and blue tape over the closet door so not sure if temporary unavailable for some reason. The pictured outdoor shower, located off the Main Bedroom wasn’t as pretty as pictured, with debris, sand bags and swing resting on the ground. Not a big deal, but the walk to the bathroom looked out to this area, so it was viewed regularly for those staying in that room. Ample paper towel, dishwasher pods, laundry detergent sheets, beach towels, kleenex, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and one kitchen sponge were provided. Future guests should purchase foil, saran wrap, salt/pepper, etc. We would recommend Ralphs grocery store, an easy 5 min drive. The property management company was excellent to work with. We appreciated their area links on restaurants, area attractions and rental services prior to visiting. We even used attraction link for discounted tickets for the zoo and SeaWorld. All communication during our stay was via text and prompt! All in all we loved the uniqueness and modern vibe of this property. We would highly recommend others stay at...

Let me start by saying I was torn between 4 or 5 stars. This review is on the management company, which is 5 stars. They deliver on a high level with services, responsiveness and action. I just loved getting the concierge services sent which include grocery shopping, private chef, photographer, baby equipment rentals, etc.. It made things much easier on me than researching on my own. The information and details about the house and how to access as well as the orientation meeting when we arrived was fantastic. They checked in the next day to see how things were going, which prompted me to relay some items that were not working as expected and they immediately scheduled a tech to come out to resolve. I just can't say enough about how wonderful of an experience this was for us.

The home itself was lovely, higher end quality which was great and in a fantastic location. Some things were not working and when you pay as much as we were, that was a bit disappointing. There was a small thing like the shower level in 1 of the 6 bedrooms worked but it also just pulled right off the wall. Most of the bathroom showers we were not able to switch the water to the regular shower head, only the handheld worked. Again, these were small, non-concerning to us. The upstairs curtains are on an automatic system for opening/closing. That was broken, which made it a bit difficult as they did not open/close easily, nor could we get them open all the way in bedroom. The biggest 2 items were the hot tub was not working and we had problems with the elevator. The elevator worked during orientation and not minutes after he left, it would not go flush to the next floor, which means you get stuck as door won't open. Luckily I figured way out. The tech came after I alerted them during their follow up and reset the system. It was still a bit wonky but worked...but then quickly stopped again. So these 2 things would have been nice to have been working. Especially with elevator as there were 3 floors and you can't access bottom level from the other floors so there was a lot of trekking up/down stairs for food, luggage, etc.. Luckily we did not have any persons with mobility issues in our party or that would have been a game changer as the main floor only has 3...
