You cannot beat the location of this motel, it is just steps away from the beach. The check in process was very strange, we went to the place we thought was the office on-site only to be directed to a office that was completely another block away from this facility. We had to walk with our luggage down another block further than we were already, we just wanted to rest after having a long day of traveling. I did not have high expectations as I normally stay at Motel 6, however Motel 6 is about 95% cleaner than this place. The layout was ok of room. There was not a luggage rack to open to put your suitcase on, we made due with using a chair to keep the suitcase off the ground. There was a mini refrigerator that was located inside of the "closet", the freezer was unusable, the refrigerator barely fit 2 small to-go containers with leftovers from a meal. The floors everywhere inside of our accommodation were not swept or washed on our arrival, which was gross but we just kept our shoes on at all times while inside, especially in the shower. Speaking of the shower, there was hair on the wall inside the shower, it was long meaning it did not come from me or my traveling friend, our hair is much shorter. Upon getting into one of the beds the first evening, I climbed in and felt wetness. I crawled back out and pulled back the sheets only to find a wet spot as if someone got out of the shower and it soaked complete through to the mattress. The wetness was not felt on the comforter, they must've had it pulled back at the time. This also led me to believe the sheets were not laundered between the last set of occupants and ourselves, which was disturbing. The baseboards were missing in areas throughout the inside of room, bathroom, and closet which allowed bugs easy access to come inside from inside walls which they did inside the closet and bathroom. Upon all of these things mentioned that we noticed we immediately brought it up with management and asked for another room, they said nothing else waa available as they were booked out. I don't mean to knock this place so bad, but I give honest reviews and I always have and I always will.

Update* 2019.going back and will inform if a cheaper room is worth it or to stay elsewhere if wanting steps from beach with somewhat of a view like my 1st visit here. Because I know you can get others at good prices very near. 2018 review. Look like Motel 6 outside INSIDE Bellagio Las Vegas room Absolutely wonderful stay here(I had a high priced room), I do not understand any bad reviews. Stayed in xx but was so shocked how nice inside room was. Outside will fool you definitely lol. Rooms inside gorgeous all updated new everything, had 2 queen beds all new furniture and nice kitchen area with microwave and bigger size dorm fridge with freezer area.. view outside sliding glass patio door look outside view of Beach wow. Expanded cable yes ID channel, tlc etc. Nice bathroom everything was new. I was at 1st thinking ugh until inside our room. Pool was nice also with lot of nice patio furniture and bbq, umbrellas yes 2 where tables are. Breakfast we made in room but went one morning to get OJ just as others say typical grab n go selection in lobby. We walked everywhere was yes closer then we thought again we judged at 1st until found out wow everything so close. Walk to ralphs grocery store, Cvs to restaurants list goes on. Beach every day we did, pier, shops etc etc. Front desk service from anyone, anyday we went to office where beyond nice. Our room had vaulted ceilings and recessed lighting was upstairs...so nice in mornings to open sliding glass door to a tiny patio and see that view of the ocean. I have nothing bad to say at all. I can't even think of 1 negative thing. Few people drinking doing there own thing in there own space, but that's everywhere not just one place. There is a bus stop out front if want the bus. Tuesday taco days PB alehouse 1.25 tacos n 10 bucks AYCE taco bar at 711 or 911 think it's called bar where says live karaoke music there nightly live something always at night. Keep walking and much more to see and do. I definitely recommend this place. Just be lucky and get a room where I was lol could see pool also I'll add picture on here.

We enjoyed 2 weeks here in a great location, less than a block from the beach and away from the bars. We had 2 rooms here one for us and one for our adult son. They were both 2 queen deluxe which are on the second floor with a view towards the street and a peekaboo ocean view. Both rooms were large and lofted which made them feel very spacious. The rooms were very clean ( I even checked the top of the head board). Unfortunately, some poor choices where made in the renovation; the laminate flooring is a rough texture and prone to staining so looks a little grubby. Also there is some moisture damage in the bathroom. There is some wear and tear showing especially in the entryway. The shower was excellent with ample hot water, although you sometimes had to give it time. The fan in the bathroom worked very well. The beds were comfortable with new comforters and adequate pillows. Due to covid, there is not daily maid service but we had no problem getting fresh towels when we needed them and I don't see a need for daily service. You do have to walk a short block to a sister hotel for front desk service, but I have had to go farther inside some hotels. The room cards do demagnetize easily which I found from experience so keep them away from your phone. The Wi-Fi was good but expired every 5 days and you had to go to the front desk for new codes. The outside of the motel and the sliding doors are showing their age but the reasonable price compared to other hotels in this area makes that easy to overlook. If you are looking for a 5 star resort with turn down service, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for great value in a great location, this is your spot.

Excellent location. Less than 2 minute walk from the beach and boardwalk. Rooms look different depending on which side you're on. I can only speak on two sets of rooms upper North facing rooms (facing an alleyway) and south facing rooms (facing a small street that leads to the beach). There are also rooms facing the north side under the terraces on the lower level that we didnt stay in so I cant review on that. Both rooms have Two beds a TV, a working thermostat

The upper rooms facing north with the terrace and balcony round tables out front have a bigger kitchenette area with a breakfast bar (cabinets sealed shut) and your usual mini fridge sink and microwave. It also had a couch that can pull out into a bed and shutter windows facing the balcony terrace. Cabinets sealed shut. Bigger shower than the south side rooms. Getting up the stairs at night on this side however is scary because you have to walk through a very small alleyway between the a partition between two buildings (office and cleaning building and the rooms) and you'd never know who's standing there. It's also the area where in the day time cleaners frequently pass through so sometimes you are blocked from going upstairs but they are very nice and sweet about you passing through. When sitting on the balcony tables in the morning and day you can see the water from the inn. It's an excellent view to have coffee or lunch to. A really big downside is you can hear more noise much easier coming from the outside and you can feel when people shut the doors in other rooms and other loud random noises. A few caulking and small cracks in our room personally. Window in bathroom facing the alleyway. No bedside outlets. Also I wasnt a fan of the sliding door (unlockable) for the washroom/restroom

The upper rooms facing south have a more nicer modern interior (in my opinion) and I personally liked it better but a much smaller kitchenette area with just a sink microwave and mini fridge and a desk. No balcony table out front but the windows were big and had a sliding door option behind the window shutters so you can have it open at night for fresh air. Much nicer view of the street. No window in bathroom. I liked that the bed headboard had two lights that you can use as reading lights and the switch is on the headboard. This side of the inn was personally more my style. Overall interior of the rooms were more modern. This side is better for a nap during the day much quieter in comparison. Beside outlets. I have no complaints personally

There is a bus stop right outside the inn. 6-10 minute walk from beach side restaurants, bars and local stores. It's a mix of residential and tourist area so you get a lot of people walking in the morning and day and it feels very safe.

They offer room service from a third party it's just a lunch and dinner thing with no breakfast.

All the cleaners and staff were nice...

The fact that my friend left a very sentimental belt given to him from his grandmother over 30years ago. In the room by accident. No real number to call, an error message each time. Emailed the hotel. Never a response. By the time i could get down there. Come to find out different hotel name and complete different building owns all three. When finally i could get a hold of the manager. Comment was yes there was a belt here, let me check. Sorry no longer here. Was told would speak with hotel maids to see in the lost and found. Only to receive a text message back. Sorry no belt found you did not leave behind. First off. Something worth the world to you, you will remember where u last took it off. Especially when u only had one bag, no belt on u or inside ur bag. Along with a few other things. So that tells me the maids are taking items of value from these customers and not reporting or informing customer such items was left behind. So again what happened to this rare belt that no else could describe other then the person that it belongs to. Especially if u can see multiple items were left. U must have known something happened to leave several items. Policy is all items are to be turned into maids lost and found. So what maid had that room that day. There is no way this maid could have forgotten a specific special belt like this, taken from this room. I say to this company do the right thing and found out who took this belt. Ur company has a sticky finger employee on ur hands. I wonder how many other customers have had the same issues, from this company. Took me three days to find any info to contact company and manger. Even then I had to wait until the next day. If u own this hotel why not correct all information to correct info. Why not have a recording or forward this hotel number to the correct hotel. Why is it no one is answering this hotels emails as well. Why is there not anyone at this office ever. If we would have been able to actually get a hold of someone, anyone in the timely matter we attempted in several different ways. My friend might have not lost his belt from his grandmother over 30years old. That can not just be replaced. There is no Amazon for this belt. If this belt is found and returned to the proper owner and not just brushed off like nothing. I will change my review. Other then that I would not trust...

The 3 stars are as follow: 1) It's 20 feet from the beach; 2) it's dog friendly; 3) they gave decent price for last minute weekend booking.

The front desk person quoted me decent price for last minute booking on a Friday. When we arrived to look at room, she said only a king suite available in the separate, single level part of motel, but honored lower quote. She also let us have same rate for Saturday night. In other words, good customer service.

The room, however, is disgusting. It IS huge, with large separate kitchen (though not full kitchen- 2 burner hotplate, microwave, mini fridges), including cookware, dishes and utensils.

BUT IT STINKS!! Really bad. Serious mold problem. I was stuffed up and nauseated within 10 minutes of being inside. Even with a Benadryl i woke up with red eyes. I had to leave fan on full blast and open all windows and front door when in room. The carpet is stained, the bare box spring is dirty, and the couch has disgusting stains that smell like pee from 2 feet away. My dog was overly interested in those stains. I would not let her on the couch for fear of what she might contract.

The shower window is moldy and doesn't stay open, the shower has no door, and I was afraid of what was growing in space between shower and sink as it clearly had not been cleaned in years. There are brown splatter stains on wall behind toilet (!).

I was very concerned about bedbugs. I will find out soon enough, I guess. The bed creeped me out but I will say it was comfortable. Then again, I prefer very firm mattresses, so if you like soft you're outta luck.

The vinyl upholstery on the two chairs had mostly crumbled off and I swear the seat cushions were damp.

The lock on largest window was broken off, which is disturbing since it's on ground level facing parking lot. I figured out how to jimmyrig it locked, but if I didn't have my very alert dog with me I'd have needed a different room. Kitchen windows face street and would be super easy to climb into, especially since one didn't even have a screen.

Despite all of this, we stayed on for a second night for 2 main reasons: right on beach and dog friendly.

If I had found another place on short notice for Saturday, I probably would have left, but I didn't want to waste my vacation moving around. I would probably avoid in future...
