Canteen — Attraction in San Diego

Item prices in these machines are crazy and must really need a snack or be hungry to wanna pay. I buy a $1.75 item and my card gets charged $3.70 for one item of hot Cheetos? And not even a big bag.. there is no sign saying it will charge you taxes after each purchase with card. If there is it surely isn’t visible. Everyone who I stay with complains about the machines and how much it’s charging people. It always charges your card at the middle of the night and to where you might not notice money missing. Whenever I can get ahold of someone it would be nice. If you use a card I highly advise you not to and just go to store if you can. Cause you will get charged taxes from all item purchases you...

I really wish I could make this zero stars. We have a Canteen machine at USD on the bottom floor of the science building. This machine works only 2 days of the month! It rarely works for any forms of electronic payment and when I did bring cash, it took my five dollars then stated I need exact change to vend my other item. No change came out! Swiping your cards wont work either and it’s constantly struggling to pick up service connection. This company has missed out on thousands of dollars from the massive amount of students who cycle through this stairwell.
