Castañedas Mexican Food — Restaurant in San Diego

Just finished leaving this place . Had Augua Chile And it was unedible. Spoke to the server to let the manager know or to give a discount or some Acommedation. She comes out says the manager isn't doing nothing. We asked to speak to the manager since we don't understand why she didn't come out in the first place. The manager or whoever supervisor lady comes and had the worst customer service ever, rude, disrespectful and argumentive to us . I was so in shock to hear her say the customer is never right. Us customers are the reason your business is open so why would you not handle a situation in appropriate manner. I have worked in many restraunts and for her to argue back with the customer is so unacceptable I would not recommend this place to anyone. She has the audacity to say agauchile is hot after we informed her it's not our first time eating auguachile we know it's suppose to be hot but not to the point where it's unedible. Hope the owner has a serious talk with her and idk perhaps gives the servers her position since they seem way more in handling a job in management then her negative nasty disrespectful attitude.

Can't believe I tried to bring my family here for the second time and then received this bad service . Never again I'll be letting all my friends know on social media and making them share it too...

This was my first time going to mariscos riviera, and unfortunately I won't be coming back. Our food was terrible! I ordered a tostada mixta that was bland and not enough lime flavor. My husband ordered a tostada de camaron cocido that was mainly cucumber and tomatoes. My 17 year old daughter's Aguachile verde was non edibly spicy( I know Aguachile is spicy...it's her favorite and that's all she orders at any marisco place but this one I even tried eating it and simply couldn't). We asked for tostadas and they were stale.. The waitresses seemed rushed and were not friendly and when our food was brought to our table both waitresses had their masks under their chin and not on. There was a gentlemen sitting across from us so intoxicated he was falling asleep...I would think being that it was 4 pm on a Saturday afternoon and there were several families with children...he should have gotten cutt off a while ago by restaurant staff instead a bucket of 6 more beers was brought to his table. I have to say the setting outside and the live music along with my delicious michelada are the only reason I gave this place 2 stars and not 1. I was highly upset and hated paying $80 for terrible food. I usually don't yelp or give reviews but just needed to let people know my experience at this...

This place is pretty cool. Depending on the day and time you show up the vibe is always changing!!( in a good way) For example in the mornings you can enjoy a pretty early breakfast and coffee and relax. You can call ahead and order lunch to go. I’ve even ordered thru doordash and they will give you a pretty accurate waiting times. But in the evenings things get fun they have live music on the weekends the bar is pretty much full. People start showing up and it’s a very fun atmosphere to drink and enjoy some bomb seafood. A little loud but very enjoyable music. I love the girls that work there. They are always very nice and helpful. Especially the girl that’s there in the morning. She’s such a sweet girl. The menu is basically two full menus one half is all Mexican Food ( CA fries burritos enchiladas ) and the other is all seafood !!!! So we got 2 in 1 overall I recommend this place they have a beautiful patio and it’s always very clean and defiantly...
