Carmel Mountain Ranch Home Center — Attraction in San Diego

AKA Home Depot in Carmel Mountain Ranch. This location almost always has everything I'm looking for in stock, along with things I pick up that I never knew I needed! The employees are pretty friendly and knowledgeable on a wide variety of projects and the tools needed to get it done. If I can't find the item I need at the Escondido store, this is the next one I go to. Between those two locations, I always find what I'm looking for. The garden center here is pretty large with a great variety of healthy plants, etc. The prices on some of their pottery is such a steal, and you can often find some of last seasons designs on clearance... which brings me to my final tip - don't forget, there is always a clearance section located at Home Depot where you can find a shelf or two or three full of clearance items that are usually discounted a pretty good amount. Even when I'm in a rush, I always hit up the clearance section. At the Carmel Mountain Ranch location, the clearance shelves are located on the end caps of the far left back aisles of the store just before you hit the lumber area. This place is full of everything you need as far as organization but the problem is after you like something and order it from them they give you the bad news not available maybe 15 days later or a month later you will get it so for those that are looking forward on getting their projects done right away make sure you ask if it's available on the spot at least this way you know ahead of time instead of getting surprised and get disappointed that's why they have received three stars and of course everybody keeps using the same excuse due to pandemic reasons that's why we are at this situation and it gets really old and tiring to keep using that same excuse otherwise the place has everything you need I...

Bad experience with pick-up orders twice in a week. First bad experience: I gave the staff my order number and said I go to the restroom while she looked for my order. She was gone and other staff looked all over for my order for 5 minutes. It turned out she left the item on the desk without telling other staff and went to lunch.

Second bad experience: I didn't know you have to install HD app to check in for curbsidebpick-up order, so I called when I was on the curbside pickup spot. It took a while and finally someone picked up the phone and brought the bag of soil I ordered. I got home and saw a hole in the bag on the side facing down. Luckily it didn't spill all...
