Balboa park is a special place for my family and me for many reasons, as it might be for many families in San Diego. Because of the pandemic, it has been a while since last time we were there. About two weeks ago, we went to walk, for a couple of hours, after a medical appointment. Sadly, about 4:45 pm, it was kind of lonely, everything seemed to be closed, we couldn't find a restroom available, many plants were removed from the Alcalá park, we saw several "campings" of unsheltered individuals even in the main hallways, and no security officers around there. For the first time we have been at this beautiful place, we didn't feel very safe.. at least at that time. Hopefully, soon Balboa park will turn to be back again the nice, safe, alive place that it used to...

Read moreWent to see Masters of Harmony and 4 other groups. Seating is good, psrking is terrible we went 1.5 hours before the show and there was no parking anywhere e an close to theater. My friend dropped her friend and husband at theater and had to go to the hospital parking lot. She barely git back as no shuttle really running as we were told there would be. She waited over 35 minutes for a shuttle supposedly 10 minutes apart.
Theater is not handicap friendly as one has 3 sets of stairways to get to theater main floor. We did not see a ramp or elevator to get to seating. Our shows were great but would nit go zgain its too much walking and 3 of us in our 80s and others...
