LawnStarter — Attraction in San Diego

First two cuts went great with the basic service then that crew decided to leave the service. The next crew not so good. That crew bad mouthed the service and said "we don't get paid to do it like that" when I asked to fix their bad work. Additionally the cut and service was inconsistent and always delayed. I wouldn’t wish the service on my own enemies. Stay away.

Update: The service will say that I expected services outside the scope of the cut. Let's set the record straight: I wanted the people to mow, they came with a weed wacker and called it a mow, which it is not. Additionally, they then saw my review and asked me to take down the review to not "hurt their ratings" - sorry LawnStarter that's how reviews work and I stand by my statements.

Final note for anyone who is looking into this service:

I recommend just go with your local lawn care service provider and pay them directly. What this service does is they take a percentage cut off the top to connect lawn crews with clients. You're most likely going to get spotty service and different crews because the people who use this service for jobs don't really put the extra care into the work because it doesn't have their name on it and they use this service to "fill in" when they have breaks in their regular client schedules. Additionally, the spotty/quick service is because the crews that shows up are getting paid less than a 'normal' cut because of the percentage off the top. That's their business model folks and specially why I left the service....

They were always late when they came, sometimes even at 6pm, also we usually schedule it for beginning of the week and they would no show on the day scheduled, and towards the end of the week they just show up out of nowhere. In the last month, They rescheduled/canceled 3 weeks in a row and when they finally came they left and said the reason was because the grass was too long and they couldn’t do it since they would have to charge a long grass fee of $150. The only reason it’s long is BECAUSE THEY KEPT CANCELING ON US! even when we called the center to schedule it ourselves for 04/12, they said it’s all set, and 3 hours later we got a notification that it’s been rescheduled for more than 10 days out! We called again and requested to change provider and this morning they came and apparently knocked on the door, but we didn’t hear it so my husband called me while he’s at work saying someone is at the door for the grass and I went straight to the door, they were already gone, it’s less than 10 minutes… It has always been even when we were not home they would cut our grass through the gate access to the backyard. So we contacted them again and they said it could take hours to reach the contractor and unsure if we can get it done today. We are really frustrated and irritated with how irresponsible and procreating they are. Do...

There’s nothing that ticks me off more than the lawn guy coming sporadically. Third, all the lawn care companies they work with have been vetted and insurance checked. Finally I just love supporting a tech startup that’s revolutionizing the lawn industry.
