Leo Hamel is an exceptional jeweler. The employees of this company truly put customer service and satisfaction first and above everything else. I had such an incredible experience working with Logan Eaquinta. A year ago, she did a wonderful job helping my (less-than-savvy) boyfriend at the time, choose the most beautiful diamond for me. It was perfect and exactly what I wanted. He raved about how easy she made it for him. Jewelry stores can totally be overwhelming and she simplified the process for him and totally put him at ease…

So of course, a year later – the ONLY place I want to buy our wedding bands from is Leo Hamel. We went back in and Logan took care of us immediately, showing us a variety of options, explaining the pros and cons of each type of metal, diamond setting, etc. Once again, she made it super easy and put us both at ease, knowing that our purchases would stand the test of time.

I completely adore our wedding bands…his is a sophisticated cobalt band with a brushed silver look. Its rounded on the inside and really comfortable for him. Mine is white gold, has diamonds all around it and compliments my solitaire perfectly. We couldn’t be happier…

BUT that isn’t the best part of this review!

My husband had an old Sea Dweller 4000 Rolex that he bought well before meeting me. He always complained that he didn’t buy it for any special reason – so it had no meaning attached to it. He wanted me to engrave it with my soon-to-be married name and the date of our wedding…and that would be my wedding gift to him. But…he was also always in search of the GMT Rolex (I’m not a Rolex expert by any means so I apologize if I screw up the nomenclature). Anyway…he was always going back and forth between the plain black one, and the black and blue one, and the blue and red one… but they were ALWAYS so hard to find. If we located one, a jeweler wouldn’t have it for very long. In comes Leo Hamel – specifically Logan Eaquinta.

I devised a plan with her help - to take my husband’s old Rolex and send it to Leo Hamel “to be engraved”. But that’s only what I told my husband. The real plan was to just to have Leo Hamel clean it up…and I was going to purchase and engrave a new GMT BLNR “Batman” Rolex that Logan had just acquired for me. She was AMAZING. She helped me decide which watch to buy, secured it for me as soon as she found one and made the engraving/shipping process SO easy. We live in Hawaii so I was a little stressed about getting BOTH watches back before the wedding. But she made the whole process seamless. I felt so at ease knowing she knew the whole plan and was working so hard behind the scenes to make it happen.

I surprised my husband the morning of our wedding with his new Rolex (he opened the box expecting to see his old Sea Dweller with my engraving) and was completely shocked and in total disbelief. The new GMT is breathtaking and my engraving came out crystal clear thanks to their new laser engraving system. I’ve posted a few images…but I promise to update this review when I have the professional wedding photos back! I can’t even begin to thank Leo Hamel and Logan for their attention to detail, their care and consideration as I made this monumental purchase, and their tireless dedication to my plan and surprise. I was almost as excited to surprise my husband on that morning as I was to say my vows to him that afternoon. Logan and her team made my wedding day so special – for me and my husband. I will go back to them again and again for our family’s jewelry purchases – regardless of where I’m living. I know they are a jeweler we can trust for the best quality products, service and customer care. Thank you from the bottom...

Leo Hamel is top notch in my book! A friend referred me here and they didn’t say much other than they had great customer service, what an understatement!! I arrived a day and a half before I was getting on a plane headed for Greece and needed an engagement ring. I had it in my head that it probably wasn’t possible, as to not get my hopes up. Then I was greeted by Teri, she was the director of sales for Leo Hamel’s for the past 20+ yrs. Teri was really friendly, easy to talk to, listened to what I wanted and read what I needed. She then proceeded to go above and beyond in walking me through this process of the purchase. I was looking for something in the 1.5-carat range but I wanted it to be sparkly! And gorgeous!, as we all do! What she ended up getting me was a 2.27 for the price range of the 1.5 that was Absolutely Beautiful! Now we had to pick out a setting, what a task! For those of you who don’t know, this can take hours, and after looking at settings for about an hour, she suggested that we put it in a standard setting. Then she says, when you get back from your trip, bring your fiancée in and she can pick out her own setting, Awesome! Done deal! Now I just had to tell her I needed it within 24hrs. I couldn’t believe my ears when she said no problem, sure enough the next day my ring was ready. There’s more! Fast forward a month later, we come in to exchange and upgrade to a nicer setting, again a long process (setting shopping) my fiancée cant find anything she likes except for a setting that is already set with a smaller diamond in it. Teri says she’ll reach out to the vendor to see if they can send this setting to them. A week goes by and Teri calls, she says well…. The vendor won’t sell just the setting alone, however he will sell us a better, slightly bigger diamond and then i will exchange it for you for the same cost of what you already paid. WOW! The old diamond was absolutely beautiful, but the new diamond was all that! as well Sparkly and Gorgeous!!

The following story is so wild i could never possibly have made it up.

My brother and his wife got married last Saturday in sunny San Diego. The day before wedding we did a ceremony rehearsal, after which i was entrusted to keep the rings and watch after them. When she handed me the rings, i noticed hers fit inside of his pretty conveniently!

Here's where things went bad. Later that night, when taking the rings out of my pocket i noticed hers fit SO WELL inside of his that it was stuck. TIGHT. What was i supposed to do, blame the bride-to-be? "She handed them to me like that!" I knew that answer wouldn't fly.

I asked some locals what the best jeweler in town was, and they without a doubt, Leo Hamel. So the morning of the wedding, i arrived promptly at 11am and presented my conundrum to Lonnie, who graciously greeted me. When i handed the fused rings to Jonathan, he said "Oh boy... I've never seen this before." NOT WHAT I WANTED TO HEAR. Johnathan gave the rings to be taken to the jeweler downstairs, who would do what they could to separate them.

After 10-15 minutes, Lisa came up to me and presented me the rings, SEPARATED! They even polished them for free! Elation at last! When i tell you i have NEVER been so relieved in my entire life, I'm not lying. The best part about this whole story? They refused to take any sort of payment, and were just happy to get me out of my bind THE DAY OF THE WEDDING.

The customer service, empathy, compassion for their work, and service to their clientele is second to none. To the whole team who helped me out, namely Danica, Bianca, Lonnie, Taylor, Jonathan, Lisa, and Teri, I am eternally grateful for your work getting me out of an incredibly chaotic predicament, and saving my brothers wedding. The bride never even knew there was an issue, allowing me to escape her eternal judgement and disapproval.
