They need to be more forthcoming and honest about their pricing. If they a mistake, they need to own it. I went today to buy supplies for Spam Misubi. They had a wide variety of flavors and the sign says "All Flavors on sale for $4.49". It just happened to be listed under the Maple Flavor Spam. I went to pay and they charged me $4.99. I bought two cans. I didn't notice until I left. Once I realized it, I went back and the lady at the service desk had one of her managers look it up on the computer. The manager said it wasn't on sale and that they forgot to remove the sign. Great! They are owning their mistake. She refunded me $1.00. She proceeded to walk to the aisle to take down the sign. I left the store thinking they have great customer service. Nope, the lady found me in my car with a can of the Maple Flavored spam arguing with me that it was ONLY the Maple Flavor that was on sale. The sign clearly states ALL FLAVORS. I had to correct her and say that the sign says otherwise. I am not sure if the language barrier was the issue but I don't trust this store anymore. I think they will rip you off and use any excuse to do it. I'll post the pic here as well. Check your receipts and make sure you are being charged the...
Read moreI am never shopping at this store anymore. Customer service is lacking. I was returning a box of Skyflakes because the two packs that I opened were stale. The man I talked to who basically yelled across the store in a condescending tone, "what do you want?". How utterly unprofessional! He then asked when he approached me how I determined they were stale. Seriously? Obviously I opened them. He was arguing that the packet he opened from the same box is not stale, but at this point I did not want to risk opening every single packet again and find one or all of them stale. At any rate, I just got a new box and opened one and fortunately the packet I opened was not stale. Hopefully the rest are not. I wanted to return the box initially and buy them at another Asian market but the man said they're not returnable becasue they were purchased too long ago (March 6!). Really? It was not stated anywhere that a defective item was not returnable. I do not make a habit of driving at least 15 miles to argue about a $7.99 item but I was doing it on principle. If they are fine with losing a customer for $7.99, then so be it. Customer service is obviously a foreign concept here. I will never patronize this...
Read morePretty good vietnamese supermarket for basic veggies and meats. They are similar to 99 ranch except they definitely have a limited selection of stuff. If you're looking for fresh fruits and veggies you most likely won't find everything you're looking for here.
They carry the basics like apples, bananas, grapes, and oranges fruit wise. As for veggies, they have a bigger selection. You'll be able to find broccoli, green onions, red/yellow onions, pho greens, and lots of Chinese veggies like yu choy, or gai lan, etc. They have a meat department with lots of choices, price wise it's not too bad, however the meat sometimes is not super fresh or tasty. They did carry a large variety of vietnamese and french/american snacks, sweets, cookies, and cake mixes. They have lots of cup noodle varieties, asian sauces, fish sauce, and durian goodies.
When we're too tired or lazy to go too far we come here for...
