WARNING: Hope you guys can learn from our terrible experience. ( or the owner/ manager/ staff will read this review and take it as a way to improve their system and service) If I can give it a -5, that’s the rating I would put. My mom went in on Thanksgiving after working a night shift. She went into the store and saw that they have a promo for a Thanksgiving special, it was great because all you have to do is to come back in 2 hours to pick it up, cooked and ready to go, when we went back to the store she ended up waited for 4 hours. She asked the manager if it was still okay to order the Turkey dinner. She was informed that it was not too late to order and this was around 12:30pm. The manager informed her as well to come back by 2:30pm. Went back at 3:30pm and the food wasn’t even ready. They said that they are running behind and to give them 40-45 min. A lady ask for her receipt and took the receipt and verify the name of the recipients name, so she told them. The food was not ready till 4:30pm, that’s the 4 hour wait. By this time my whole family are hungry. When she got home we started to serve the food. As we were putting the foods in the plates the stuffing was hard and underdone. Mash potatoes was as thin as a gravy. The gravy looked like milk and tasted horrible. The turkey was bland, overcook and dry. Seemed rough cut veggies that was used to be unwashed with the turkey. Everything was so bland as if you are eating a cardboard. Next day, she decided to go back and speak with the manager to inform them of how terrible the food was. They asked for the receipt and she informed them that the lady at the store took it when she waited for 4 hours to pick up the terrible Turkey Dinner that she paid for, for $69.00 + tax. They asked her to bring back the food. So she drove back home to get the terrible Turkey Dinner that we had from Manolo. They started weighing it and said that the food was 12lbs. and now it’s only 8lbs. Seriously Manager, you do know that food is no longer the same weight raw after you cook it, right? So, she asked them what can be done to resolve the 4 hours wait and taking home an overcooked, dried and bland turkey. Sides that are bland, undercook, looked as if watered down. The manager didnt resolve the matter and she ended up spending $69 + tax down the drain. We left the food at the store. It was a horrible food, horrible customer service, horrible customer experience and had a horrible Thanksgiving Dinner with my family because of the Turkey Dinner meal that was purchased here in Manolo Farmers Market. I used to go about 3 times per week to buy especially avocados, flour tortillas, cheese, etc. They have the best flour tortillas, however today something happened. I made burritos, and I was going to keep the tortillas in the fridge when I noticed the other side of the package with the green and yellow color in the tortilla. Then I proceeded to smell and they smelled disgusting. I was disappointed but I said: “okey” it has never happened before so I went to the store to return them and the lady (mature/elder) was saying that it is rare which I agree. I showed her today’s receipt. After having doubts she said go and get another package. When I came back she continued saying several times that it is rare and it never happened before. I told her that I buy the tortillas every week and I understand her point but she was sarcastic in front of other customers so I better left the tortillas because she was distrusting me in front of the people. I spent more money in gas however I had to go anyways because I needed the tortillas but with her bad attitude and lack of good customer service I preferred to leave the store. That yesterday i went too this store to buy lemons. The yellow lemons were old, very , very ,very soft too the touch. I ask the employee that was working in the vegetable department. That why, will the sell this too the customer? The lemons are bad, he responded, that they were still good and juicy, and he would prove it. He took a knife out, cut open the lemon, the lemon was black inside, rotten. And he said " ok not this one". I just told him, that mos of the fruit, most of the oranges were going bad, pineapples. I told him, other stores will never sell this too there customer . It just gave me a bad feeling about buying any food they have prepared too go. I just hope the store sells quality products too the customer. Food prices are up. Everything is expensive, the customer needs too get quality for their money. I junt want too add somthing else.
