Such a neat place. We were attending an event around the corner and decided to take a walk around the block to find a coffee shop (I think we found something way better!). Seven Grand is very reminiscent of a pub. We walked in an immediately noticed and loved the plaid carpet and beautiful wood detail throughout the bar. There is plenty to do whether it is sit and chat and make new friends or catch up after work for happy hour and shoot some pool or play darts. Seven Grand has plenty of space inside to sit as well as a nice patio on the outside. They have mainly whiskey based drinks and some draft beers. Seven Grand also sells cigars. There is also a really neat back area which seems to house special whiskey tasting events (more info available on their site). They also have plenty of space to house bands with live music. We made it in time for happy hour and had some really good drinks for a great price. I had an Old Fashion and a Manhattan. Both were tasty but because orange is my citrus of choice I think the Manhattan stole the show for me. My husband had a whiskey sour which he really enjoyed as well (he actually said was one of the best he has had). Service was great, the staff is amazing and very helpful. When we first arrived there were quite a few people but it was really picking up around 6:30 or so. For sure stop by...

I've been meaning to come here forever, and finally did last night! That's right people, Motown Monday! If you know me, you know I'm always searching for places playing the old tunes, so I was excited! The DJ did not disappoint. The music was great, and it was a great mix of notable classics and new music to my ears.

The bartenders are amazing! I had the pleasure of having Curtis making my drinks, with Josh, aka "The Moustache," stopping by to chat occasionally. Curtis was awesome. I told him I wanted to order something off-menu, and he made me something crazy with egg whites and all. Except I'm really freaked out by egg whites in my drink and there was pineapple too, which I hate the taste of. OOPS! I guess I wasn't paying enough attention while he was doing his magic haha. He GLADLY made me another drink with no hesitation or annoyance with me, which was awesome! The second one he made was DELICIOUS! So citrusy and whiskey-y and wonderful. The drink after that was awesome as well, less citrusy and more sweet. I cannot remember what was in either of them, but they were amazing.

I will be...

Terrible experience 2 times in a row. Security Guards were extremely unwelcoming. The first time I went with a friend and I just went in to use the restroom and even though I was only in there for less than 5 minutes while my friend was waiting for me outside, they told him he couldn’t stand there and needed to leave. The second time I went with another friend who is a US Navy Veteran, he was checking his wallet for his ID and they told us he was too intoxicated to go inside, even though he was completely capable of walking and talking on his own. It seemed like they based their decision on the way we were dressed, especially since there was an obviously intoxicated couple right in front of them outside the establishment making out. I suppose the underpaid and underlaid security guards were just getting off on watching a drunk couple make out and gained a slight ego boost in exercising their petty authority by refusing to allow two US Veterans inside because we didn’t look as flashy as their usual rich kid hipster elite crowd. I hope they go out of business soon and make space for a better place. 7 not so...

This is a good place if you're a whiskey lover and a good old fashioned. I originally had different expectations of what my experience would be like coming here (never having looked at reviews or pictures), so I was hoping for a chill/lounge atmosphere but it's more of a nice bar focused on whiskey, that serves beers, and other cocktails. Nice pool tables and good music. Aldo..My only wish is that they would have large ice cubes those drinking whiskey only (or an old fashioned).
