We immediately notified Pet Beloved and provided veterinary documentation detailing their medical condition following the grooming and we even gave them permission to obtain records from the veterinary place we visited. Instead of addressing the matter appropriately, the business kept delaying a final response and kept giving us inconsistent statements such as responding with a false claim that our cats had arrived in that condition and cited being “busy” as the reason for not contacting us sooner. This explanation is both inconsistent with the veterinary records and with our communications, and it raises serious concerns about their level of responsibility and attention to animal welfare.
It is also important to note that our third cat, who was not taken to Pet Beloved and did not receive grooming services, remained completely healthy and had no ear infections, further demonstrating that the issue occurred after the grooming.
We made multiple attempts to resolve this issue directly, including formal written notices sent over two months ago, but have received no response whatsoever. The absence of any acknowledgment or effort to take responsibility reflects a complete disregard for both customers and the animals entrusted to their care.
We have reported our experience to the Better Business Bureau and the Veterinary Medical Association, and we are continuing to pursue appropriate legal consumer and animal welfare channels to ensure that our case is properly documented.
Based on our experience, we will not be returning to Pet Beloved and will not recommend their services to others at all.
*Edits:
I only posted another review because the first one appeared to be deleted when I checked the day after. I will keep both because the first shows the photos.
Our cats are regularly cared for at home, and no discharge or discomfort was observed before grooming. Staff never mentioned ear issues before, during, or after, and said we would be contacted if concerns arose. They only referenced discharge in an email after we raised the issue. The veterinarian confirmed infections were diagnosed after grooming.
Your claim that the report mentions “lack of timely treatment” is completely false. There is no such statement in any documentation we provided. We sought veterinary care promptly. We even informed you in our emails that we had to take them to private clinics because the matter could not wait. The report describes the infection and a ruptured eardrum, without suggesting delay, and does not rule out a connection to the grooming service because they simply do not mention the cause. The veterinarian verbally indicated it could have been caused by the service after we explained the full situation, including the flea. No photos exist of any alleged pre-existing discharge from you.
Vets noted infections can arise from both sanitation and how tools are used.
Our ungroomed third cat remained healthy; this provides context and timeline.
We sent multiple emails without resolution. Our last email, sent August 12, 2025, went unanswered, reflecting poor communication and contradicting your claim to respect customers. You can respond to that email.
Our goal is not to disparage the business but to share our honest experience. Your repeated responses have been disrespectful, repeatedly implying we are not true. We care deeply about our cats’ health and expect our concerns to be addressed honestly and...
Read moreThis is the only pet shop I trust 100% with my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Oli. She’s very sweet but also fearful, and grooming time used to be really stressful for her.
What I love most about this place is the drying cabin – it’s quiet, with no harsh wind or loud noise. Today I passed by and saw Oli just chilling inside, super calm while drying.
She also doesn’t come home exhausted like she did after visits to other pet shops. That tells me she’s not stressed during the process. The staff is always kind, gentle, and super attentive. I really appreciate their care and recommend them with my eyes closed!
Ah, one more thing I really appreciate – they always send a message when your pet is ready, along with super cute photos of your dog. If they notice anything, like dirty ears, they even send a picture of the cotton swabs they used, so you can see if there’s any sign of irritation or inflammation.
It’s such a thoughtful touch, and it makes me feel really welcomed and informed. I feel totally comfortable leaving Oli there for about two hours, knowing she’s in...
Read moreThis store is run by a very friendly couple. I came here because of their numerous positive reviews. The lady is Ting. She manages the front desk, while her husband takes care of grooming in the back. Initially, I was worried about my dog, so I observed them closely while they were busy. I have to say, from their actions, you can see their love and meticulous care for animals. Their movements are gentle, and when my dog gets uneasy, I saw Ting soothingly comforting and cradling the my dog. I felt reassured and left knowing my girl would be well taken care of here. During my absence, Ting sent me photos and notes at every step, alerting me that my dog's ears were slightly inflamed, and the cotton swabs used for cleaning were a bit dark. Their caring and thoughtfulness impressed me. I'll give them a five-star rating because they truly deserve it, and I'm...
