It’s a library so 5 star at the start. But the facility is awesome too. Very clean and organized. I love coming here to pick up some books. Staff is very friendly too. Feedback though, the air conditioning is extremely strong! I would have stayed longer in my past visit but I was freezing there. The kids session is amazing too.

The most beautiful small public library I have ever been to. Also just a gem and a blessing to have in our neighborhood. Also, librarians rock. Just great that we still maintain such wonderful public resources. Lots of great activities hosted here. Librarians very polite, accommodating, generous and helpful.

Excellent children’s section! Walk downstairs and find the wooden boat, quiet reading sections, great selection of books.

The Point Loma Library is my favorite San Diego Library! The things I like about this library are the kids story times, arts and crafts time, holiday and seasonal activities, security on guard during busiest hours for children's safety, clean, beautiful, creative, vibrant, great selection, an ever improving selection of children's books in Spanish, free Wi-Fi, friendly staff, great children's storytime area etc. My only request for improvement is that the adult computer room not be situated directly next to the children's area downstairs right next to the spot where the youngest children hang out. This is not a good idea in this day and age for so many reasons because of all that is pouring out of the internet as far as the adult content that adults subject themselves to that children should not be anywhere near nor should they be near adults who are in a certain frame of mind because of the internet world they have just been immersing themselves in. I believe the adult section should be strictly upstairs and the children's section have the entire downstairs. This is my opinion but the positives far out way the negatives and there is always staff around and cameras for safety. This would just be my preference for optimum safety of children. I will continue to bring children here as a career nanny as I love this library. We should just always have a watchful eye on children everywhere we go in this world now and if anything ever doesn't look right then say something in the nicest way possible, assuming the best, (which I have) because you just never know but still, say something. There needs to be eyes...

Update: nothing has changed, although as one person mentioned, the guy with long curly hair is nice. Don’t look under the chairs, the carpet is so gross, it’s like they don’t know what a vacuum is. I’ve noticed some of the librarians have started acting more “kiss ass” in a sarcastic kind of way, guess they finally found out about their bratty reputations, but I’m not sure acting like angry suck ups counts as making a change.

Original review: The bathroom cleaner does such a lazy job, the floor looks filthy on a daily basis even when it’s been “mopped”, and the librarians here have the worst attitudes out of any location, they won’t let me ask a whole question before they interrupt me with an answer I wasn’t looking for, and then they act like I’m...

On Monday, August 18, 2025 at 1450 hours I witnessed library staff participate in the harassment and bullying of a senior citizen. They participated with other patrons calling this gentleman crazy, insane, and the African American staff member called him an Asshole. The Senior Citizen was present and knew that he was the topic of their criticism, but like a true gentleman he did not respond, and handled it with grace and dignity. It is appalling that staff members are permitted to participate in such juvenile, and very illegal activity of a protected citizen, a Senior Citizen. This inappropriate activity is what they are teaching the children who attend and utilize this library. Most disgusting activity I have...
