So let me speak on my credentials first. I'm a native of Queens, NY. I lived in South Jamaica, South Ozone Park and St. Albans for 17 years so to get that out of the way...Being new to the area (after being stationed here 18 years ago) I decided to try to find some NY style pizza, so naturally I googled it and Giant New York Pizza came up. Anyway, i came in and the staff was very friendly. I didnt want to start out big so I decided to roll with two slices. Let me tell you this:. The slices are GIANT, just as the name of the restaurant proclaims. Then I took a bite and I was in love with it. Great thin crust, sauce, and cheese just like I like it! I'm not a young man anymore, so honestly one slice satisfied - again, they are GIANT, so luckily the gentleman who assisted (sorry I am horrible on names after one encounter) gave me my pizza in a "to-go" box anyway. I recommend you take the opportunity and take a ride to Giant New York Pizza! It was nice and chill in there (I know I am from NY but coming from that I appreciate quiet and as little drama and beef as possible) so I was able to just relax and savor my slice. It was great to feel like I was back in NY for...
Read moreIt's really hit or miss. I ordered enough from this place to make this claim. Sometimes the same type of pizza is really good, yet on another day, the same order could be really mediocre. Odd, right? That's the way it is and I am not speaking only for myself. I have heard of others saying the same thing. I also think they cannot ace on their giant pizzas, unlike what the name of the business entails. Id say they are just giant and interesting shape wise. Try other sizes and you will be happier. I can't say I wouldn't order from here anymore as I love this place overall. But, I thought I should be fair to other businesses and reflect that inconsistency of the quality in my rating. So, try it once it twice and decide for yourself. I don't have a firm opinion...
Read moreWent with the basics... Large cheese pizza, chicken tenders, and french fries. All of which were pretty mediocre, likely 3 stars for food. I would almost compare the pizza to being similar to Pizza Port, but I think i'd much rather go with Pizza Port. The fact that I just compared this to Pizza Port tells you it's not really NY style pizza. I personally thought the dining area wasn't very clean. Napkin dispenser was visibly dirty, fan over the front door had filth growing off of it and even the "A" rating sign in the window was visibly dirty... needless to say things could be a bit cleaner in the establishment and for that reason, you're getting 2 stars. If you live in the area, get your pizza from the...
