Came on a Saturday afternoon and there was plenty of parking. Even the farthest parking the walk isn't as intense to the main entrance as is the rest of the Zoo 🫣 there is so much to see and do, with tour bus also. Plenty of spaces to take a (bathroom) break, eat, relax and make it a half day experience. Kiddos will enjoy it with the array of animals to see. The free map (at the entrance after entering the gate) is a great guide to prioritize what to visit, see and do. Read moreIt was so calm and low key. I would recommend the bus ride with little kids it is a fast way to see the big animals. Go first thing in the morning and you will see lots of animal activity due to the morning feeding. We did the early morning with pandas. I honestly think if you go first thing when the zoo opens you will still get quality time with them. My 7yr old 5yr old loved the 30 minutes with them but didn’t really understand what our tour guide was saying due to him taking to the adults. Read moreAt San Diego Zoo today was our wonderful family outing watching wildlife in their natural environment. The most interesting was Poler Bear, the giant Panda, Gorilla, and the Rhinos. Tons of verities of snakes, reptiles. Colorful and chirping birds were great attraction for all.
