San Diego Zoo Picnic Area — Attraction in San Diego

This is one of my favorite parts of the zoo. There are 3 ducks here, they are so friendly and they love french fries. I'm not saying that I fed them french fries, but I'm also not saying I didnt. These little ducks did not go hungry at lunch when i was there. We got lucky and got lunch right before the rush, obviously the food wasnt amazing but it's a zoo, that's part of the experience. Dont feed the ducks veggies because they dont like them

How nice to be at the zoo again! In these crazy covid19 times, it's so satisfying to do something normal, like go to the zoo. So nice to see the animals. Wonderful glimpses of the new pygmy hippo baby were great fun. I was part of a group who did a light brunch on the grass after (socially distanced- the new normal). Can't wait to get back and see my favorite...

HOT, BUSY! The zoo really needs to trim plant life to be able to read the display signs of the animals. Many were unable to be read by the flamingos due to plant overgrowth. Had to wait. 25-30 min. In line today to be screened. Today was free silicon bracelets day...
