Signed up for a beginner art class just to try something new and ended up loving it. The instructor was super chill and encouraging, even though I have like zero natural talent lol. We got to try different materials like charcoal, watercolor, and acrylic. Everyone in class was at different levels but it didn’t matter, it felt welcoming. I liked that they focused more on creativity and fun than being perfect. It was a nice escape from stress and made me realize how relaxing drawing can be. Only thing I wish is they had more flexible evening classes. The space was clean and had all the supplies we needed. I didn’t have to bring anything except myself. Ever since I was 6 yrs old, I spent 1-2 hours a week in art class, and in high school I would take classes for 3 or 4 hours at a time, dedicated to creating an art portfolio for college. They offer a variety of teachers who have their own unique style and the school provides many of the needed art materials. They have acrylic paint, canvases, watercolors, color pencils, etc. They also have a very creative and peaceful atmosphere there.
