We live few blocks off. Bought our house in 2004, primarily for it's proximity to this park for our dogs. It's a great park. Views are great. Wildflowers in spring lovely. Weary of the coyotes now because so many of them, and they're way too bold from people feeding them. It's gotten to be a problem unfortunately love the other wildlife and all the dogs don't love the application of ROUNDUP (GLYSOPHATE) because it's a "Natural Area" and they use to kill non-native plants which is completely insane. The new construction I'm also not keen on. I prefer no toxic sprays or fencing, stairs, barriers, man made structural "enhancements " - I prefer natural areas and wildlife to be left alone (to be, you know - natural!) and to be less of a museum/private interest gardening project on public open space; this is a real shame to me. Love the rock with all the various embellishments ofdiff artwork it's always getting according to current trends and holidays. Love the quarry side mandala...
Read moreMy favorite park in SF. I used to live near it but now live far and haven’t been here in a couple years. Someone put the swing back up just now! I was so sad when the swing came down. Although I talked to locals and they said it keeps going up and coming down. Whoever keeps cutting down the swing please stop!!! Everyone loves it and people cry when you take it. Why must you destroy joy and beauty?!? If there’s a problem, why not engage in constructive dialog with the community instead...
