It is a great neighborhood park with a community garden, but in recent months has been taken over by a nearby private school to use as their playground ALL DAY LONG. What used to be a pleasant place to relax and enjoy the sun has become a stressful place - you can't even rearrange your schedule around them. They come in shifts: when one group leaves, another arrives. There is no time during winter daylight hours when you can avoid them -- they are still there after 4pm. The kids are well behaved, but there are a lot of them, plus their teachers and a security guard. The sheer number of them make it difficult for the regular neighborhood kids and dog owners to use the park. This has been going on for months, and it seems to be because this private school's playground is under extensive rebuilding involving a large crane, so it will likely continue for several more months. This is not fair to the neighbors who rely on this park as their only place to go to enjoy...
Read moreIt's a nice park but it really needs restrooms for everyone, we had to leave early because the kids needed to use the restroom,we wanted to stay longer but couldn't and having to look for a restroom made it worse not everyone let's you use a restroom unless you're a client which is really bad in situations like this and we also saw another kid that almost wet in their pants too. I think that is horrible for anyone to go through. Someone should really voice in that all parks should always have restroom available for the children no matter what neighborhood the park is built at. Read moreThis park has: playground suitable for a variety of ages. water feature for kids to play in that is sometimes (but not always) on. grassy area. benches, saw lots of folks eating their lunch here. stage area. work out machines for adults: I've only ever seen these at the Marina Green, so a nice new feature I'd like to see at more parks. community garden.
There are no restrooms here. The grassy area isn't quite large enough for soccer.
