My family love Dandelion for many reasons❣️❣️❣️ Top notch customer service! We only experienced the greatest customer service when visiting the store while in town or ordering online. Top notch chocolate products! This is our favorite chocolate shop as they only made all their delicacies in small batch using pure artisans ingredients to create high quality goodies resulting in refined and sophisticated taste. Their products are pleasing to all your senses! It is so much more satisfying to eat a small quantity great chocolate goodies with great satisfaction than eating a large quantity chocolate which are loaded with sugar and other additives to cover up the not so good chocolate flavor which is also unhealthy! If you have not tried Dandelion chocolate, you should try it! They have the best tasting hazelnut chocolate (gianduja) spread and hot chocolate in powder form which are reasonably priced. Once you try them, you will not want to have those overly sweet other hazelnut chocolate spread nor other hot chocolate brands! We love everything and their bonbons are the best and interesting flavor combinations. Their seasonal Hanami bonbon collection has become our favorite! Those morsels are packed with hugely and utterly delicious flavor combinations! They also have collaborations with other chocolatier in the US to come up with special limited edition bonbon collections! We tried their Tokyo Gateau when visiting our son in SF and it was utterly delicious and luscious❣️❣️❣️So we dared ourselves to order it to ship to Texas even though it is so hot here already! ☺️ As they do not add any additives, you would need to consume it in timely manner, not keeping it laying around too long because they look too beautiful to eat…😊 I personally feel that after having tried their chocolate goodies, it is very difficult for me to go back and have any chocolate from other chocolatier as they tend to be sweeter that it hurt my teeth…aside from additives to make the chocolate...
Read moreOk, so this was seriously meant to be. I offered to tag-along with my friend to drive over 2 hours to get to the city to drop off her mom's sweet loving elderly dog to Muttville since her mom had to be placed in a care facility. The dog could have been dropped off at our local pound but she didn't want to take a chance of its care and fate there and the fantastic rescue services at S.F. Muttville were found and there was a mission made.
After seeing the pooch for the last time, feeling horrible for not being able to take the family member on herself and realizing this is another part of her mom she's loosing, she took a moment to sit sobbing in the car. My calling on this trip would soon to be realized as I glanced out the window and found the ultimate Raindow, Dandelions. I had NO idea what this place was we were parked in front of, but after a quick read of their sandwich board and knew this should happen. After really getting a look through the window and into the operation, I knew this HAD to happen. Next, l got my friend out of the car, she dried her tears and we walked 12 feet into the Prada of Chocolates. A good 30 minutes of Heavenly distraction happened and we walked out feeling so much better and with a bag full of chocolates :-)
Thanks for reading, that was the story you didn't ask for, here's the review :-) SUPER clean and well laid out store in every facet from traffic flow management to product presentation. Staff was eager to assist, seemed genuinely proud of their product and happy to be there. We knew NOTHING about Dandelion Chocolate before that day and now we're interested in coming back to the City some day and taking the guided tour of their chocolate factory. I was impressed by this operation. I think 5 stars are given out too quickly and easily, Dandelion Chocolate absolutely earns theirs. Go...
Read moreDandelion Chocolate is a MUST visit if you are a chocolate-lover and enjoy quality, dark chocolate. I've been enjoying specialty, single-origin chocolate for about 5 years so I knew I had to schedule a factory tour here. $20 for a behind-the-scenes view of all of their chocolate making facilities as well as the chance to taste every step of the process was such a rare and fun opportunity. Their chocolate profiles are also some of the best I've ever tasted. Particularly, Ecuador was my favorite, but each bar is prepared in a way that brings out its origin flavors to its full potential. The complexity and evolution of flavors was amazing and if I could, I would buy every bar they make. The tour also ends with a voucher for a free drink, and the owner stopped by and casually gifted some of us free cacao fruits from Ecuador?!?? HUH?! That's insane. As a chocolate-lover, buying individual cacao is very pricey and I just got 2 cacao fruit to try making bean-to-bar with for free. The valuation of that tour was way more than $20. The factory Café is also very nice and modern. Perfect stop for a cute date night with a unique selection of items and homemade marshmallows too! Dandelion Chocolate is such a rare breed of chocolatiers who aren't multi-million dollar corporations, yet stay with the chocolate making process for nearly every step of the way. They see chocolate making as an art and you can taste that in the bar. I am so grateful to be able to have such a cool chocolate experience right in the city and I would highly recommend coming here for a tour, a workshop, or just to enjoy their...
