I really wanted to like this place. I even drove about 10 minutes to get there. Upon walking in there was only 1 other patron. They told me to pick my color and I was rushed to come to take a seat so I settled with what I had in my hand.
The price for a "regular" mani-pedi was $35, which is a pretty good price, but they only did the bare minimum basics. They might have scrubbed my feet once - back and forth. No massage as advertised. I also asked for a callus treatment which was $10 extra, which they charged me for, but did not get. I wish I said something when he said my total was $45. The paraffin wax was on my feet for maybe 2 minutes before she took it off and rushed to paint my toes. When I was leaving, I asked that she clean up the polish around my toes, especially my pinky toes, because it really looked like I painted them myself, with the polish all over my skin. You'll see in the picture how much she got off my skin.
She did ask if I like the color when she painted one of my fingernails, in which I didn't. Luckily I chose another color for my toes and just had her use that because when I asked for a different color (purple), she said, oh this is purple - but it was more of a deep pink. So I settled and also didn't say anything.
The total time that they spent from start to finish painting my nails was under 30 min. I expected at least 45 minutes. They also were not too friendly and welcoming, and I believe I am and always greet and talk with people. Even though this service was poor, I still tipped 20%. I wish I did not. I'm still going to give them 2 stars, as this is a small business, but I really think my rating should...
Read moreI came in at around 5:30 pm on a weekday. As an Asian guy, that may have had something to do with the quality of the nail care (pedicure, manicure) I received. they may have had a long day--who knows?
It felt very rushed--barely 20 minutes. My feet were soaked for about 5-10 minutes total. It woul;dn't have hurt to have had they soaked at least half an hour (to soften the callused dry skin). There was a brief massage.
My manicure lasted five minutes. A foot nail clipper was used. Less than a few days later, I had to clip my fingernails myself.
The woman who did the treatment did not seem interested and just barely polite.
In contrast, the young white teen-agers had their feet soaked for at least 45 minutes (from the time I walked in until the time I actually began to have my pedicure). I think this is discriminatory.
When I brought up my calluses on my feet, they were brushed over and barely anything was done, as I distinctly recall. I was given two small cheap hard plastic scrubbers for them when I paid.
I definitely would not go back. There have got to be better nail...
Read moreCame here on a Sunday afternoon, after finding out that my usual places were booked up. Got a regular mani pedi
It was perhaps the most perfunctory manicure I have ever gotten. Nails were barely filed, and the areas around my nails were not cleaned up at all - I kept all my dry skin and hangnails. My manicurist also didn’t even paint the polish all the way to the sides, leaving the nail exposed. I had to ask her to add more polish.
Pedicure was a little better, although started off suss with lukewarm water with unknown black specs floating around in it. The paraffin was nice, but they barely exfoliated my feet. They did do a good job cleaning up my toes and the polish.
It sounds like some other patrons have had great experiences, so I’ll have to assume that this salon is just inconsistent with their...
