Mani-Pedi SF — Local services in San Francisco

I just finished getting a gel manicure and regular pedicure from Mani-pedi. It was my first time here so I didnt know what to expect. My pedicure went fine. Love the color and work the lady did. Wish I remembered her name.

My gel mani was a big disappointment. Which is what the 1 star rating is based off of. When my manicurist was done with my nails, I told her the polish was not even. Some spots were more colored than other. So she said add more coats. I was hoping she would start over because it was getting thick already. But after another layer of polish, I can already tell it wasnt going to fixed my nails. In the end, the color looked more even but now it's super lumpy. I left very disappointed. Normally, I pray that my gel mani will stay on for 2+ weeks. Now, I cant wait to get rid of it.

Really hit and miss here. Sometimes they get it right and it's great, others it's really off par. Shaping is always uneven which is a shame, and edges always rough. The service you get varies too, sometimes you'll soak your cuticles, sometimes not, sometimes you get a palm massage, others not. Sometimes they rush you in and out. The salon needs something to look at as it's hard to know what to look at around the room for an hour long plus gel manicure. You pick a colour and it's sometime run out from the shelf or not available. Also, I always make an appointment butt hey often have too many people on the go so you have to wait regardless. Nails came out decent but the man that works here did the majority of my manicure and had a really really bad attitude. He was constantly getting frustrated with the way I was positioning my hand (I have gotten many manicures before and did not have this problem) and was getting very visibly irritated when I asked him for further clarification on some of his questions. It made it a very uncomfortable experience for me. The only reason I'm giving it two stars is because a different lady did the final design/nail art on my nails and she was really sweet and kind and did a great job!
