I just became aware of Saturn and Vulcan steps, and decided that I wanted to investigate them while the weather was so perfect. Saturn street steps are shorter than Vulcan, but they are much more interesting. The steps are about a block long, and there are some good handrails then entire way. The main steps are reasonably wide, then there are two level areas that branch off to the south. Both have park benches where you can rest, or just look at the beautiful views. The area is planted with lovely trees and flowering shrubs. The succulents were in full bloom when I went, providing vivid yellows. Read moreLove all the stairs walks available in San Francisco. Pretty setting, lots of photo ops, and the several places to stop and sit on benches if you don't want to walk up them continuously.
