A hidden gem in the heart of San Francisco! Corona Heights Park offers one of the best panoramic views of the entire city — from the downtown skyline to the Bay Bridge and beyond.
🌇 Why I love it: • The 360° view at the top is absolutely breathtaking, especially during sunset — the whole city glows in gold. • It’s perfect for a short hike, photography, or just sitting in silence while watching the light change. • Dog-friendly, peaceful, and never too crowded — feels like a local secret spot.
💡 Tips: • Go about 30–60 minutes before sunset for the best light. • Wear comfortable shoes — the trail is short but has a few rocky parts. • Bring a jacket! The wind at the top can be strong. • Limited parking, so walking or public transit is easier.
✨ Final thoughts: If you’re chasing golden hour in San Francisco, this is the place to be. The kind of view that makes you fall in love with the city all over again.

Read moreFun park, and has a nice dog run area. BUT watch out for the group regulars that often have their dogs off leash near the entrance. Our puppy was attacked this morning by a small white dog from that group, and we've seen another puppy attacked by a different dog that was also off leash in that same area. Ironically, this morning a dog walker who was hanging out with that group tried to excuse the behavior, saying that the little white dog just doesn't like puppies so to watch out for it. Well, that's fine, but it's the OWNER'S responsibility then to KEEP THAT DOG ON A LEASH. I question that dog walker's judgement if he's excusing that kind of behavior and pretending it's no big deal. When my dog is on a leash and is attacked by someone else's dog, that's NOT OKAY. It's really unfortunate that this group of people seems to think they own the place since it makes it an unwelcoming...
Read moreAn absolutely incredible little spot. My preferred entrance is near the tennis court on 15th street (next to the preschool)--it gives you a woodsy climb with really nice ups and downs. Quite a bit of it is step-less, so wear shoes that won't slip on the dirt. The entrance on Roosevelt near the dog park is a lot less challenging, significantly shortly, and more leisurely, but fine if you're not one for hiking.
Once you summit, you're given by far the best views in SF--you won't see the Golden Gate Bridge (blocked by Buena Vista right next door), but you have a far better, 360 view of the city itself. Strongly recommend summiting for sunrise, it's absolutely breathtaking. There aren't many people, so your view will be almost completely unobstructed.
Strongly, strongly recommended for a beginner or a...
