Corona Heights Dog Run — Attraction in San Francisco

Great place for my group walks, there are hiding places under the vine brush some of my puppies like to play under. It's mostly other walkers there which is nice because my dogs have a whole other group to play with. There's a dog and human fountain outside the enclosed area. And a bucket and hose for the dogs within the enclosed area. The whole area is covered in bark, but when it rains, sometimes the sand and mud can come through. The hike is beautiful, and the off leash fenced park is a great place to train your dog off leash skills. Unfortunately, a lot of irresponsible owners think it is a great place to train dogs with sever agression issues. My small dog was aggressively attacked 3 times in the last month by a dog the was resource guarding the water bowl, a dog that didnt like my dog sniffing his owner, and a dog that was resource guarding his ball. Be careful here as a lot of the dogs here are in training and some of them have severe issues and really should not be off leash...

I take my dog here almost every morning. The regular owners are very nice and the dogs are well behaved. There have been a few accidents with aggressive or possessive dogs. Being mindful and knowledgeable of your dog to avoid issues or to separate/leave for the day Is the best choice of action.

Not the best place for small children as some dogs dont like kids or are afraid of them. Keep your child close to you and please ask permission if our larger dogs are okay...
