This is long, but is not a rant. I've been coming here and thinking about this since they opened and have been patiently waiting for this gym to get better, but it's just gotten worse.
Equipment: +1 star. The gym has been open for less than two years. The equipment is all new. I do love that they have the curv treadmills.
Trainers: 0 stars. Let's put it this way, their trainers need trainers. They get in people's way and workouts are a joke. I feel bad that people are paying to chat it up with them.
Layout: 0 stars. Whoever designed this place does not go to the gym. Cardio equipment is facing a wall, super boring to get on them. There are mirrors on only one wall of the whole gym, no need to check your posture when squatting, on the cable machine ect I guess. The weights and machines are just scattered throughout, there's no sense to it.
Lockers: if possible negative stars but then they'd be left with 0 Stars instead of just one overall. This is by far the WORST part of the gym! Since they opened, the gym started getting very dirty very quickly, this is due to a lack of deep cleaning and the high traffic they get from both swimmers and regular gym users.The lockers are gross, floors are dirty, tiles are yellow with mold, and the towels are 50 shades from white to grey. They NEED a full time cleaning lady in there! 8 months ago I witnessed 2 cockroaches in the lockers, I told staff about it and they said they'd take note. Two months later I saw another cockroach, and since then only shower there when I absolutely have to. Today, as I'm waiting to shower there's an employee killing a huge cockroach, and I had to talk with her about that continuing issue despite their knowledge of it. Apparently their cleaning company only hires men and only cleans the women's locker late at night. To me, upper management obviously does not care about women's hygiene, otherwise they would have hired a new company that is competent or have figured out a way to rectify the problem. Unacceptable.

Read moreI really like the classes and the instructors of Eastridge club. This club is also closed to my workplace. I enjoy work out after working. Recently, this club requires to check reservations' tickets before members get in classes. I think it's good to check reservations to keep classes not to be crowded , but the process here is so complicated. On Wednesday 09/17, when I asked for tickets, unfortunately my 24 app was not working. Even though, I already made reservation and took screen shot it, the staff didn't accept. The female staff said " maybe you get the picture from someone else". I provided my phone number and my ID on the front desk to show my membership account in their system. They check but they still denied. They said "only reservation on the app". Finally, one staff told me to go get line inside without ticket. But the male staff( wearing glasses)standing at the door of class refused me and said " I'm a boss here. No ticket not allowed in" I was very upset and disappointed with the customer service. We pay for memberships. They should help us, not make hard to us. If member cannot use 24 app for some reasons, I think staff can check on their system to see member's reservation. Read moreThis location nestled in the Eastridge mall is by far the most surprising to me among all the other 24 HF - in terms of cleanliness and staff friendliness. Being that it tends to be quite busy most hours of the day, I can see a difference in how the team cares for their members by ensuring workout equipment is clean and sanitized - almost as if I am experiencing the grand opening every time I arrive for my workout. Customer service is excellent and professional. Often, I would have to greet the front desk staff at other locations, but the team at Eastridge surprised me by beating me to it! It is such a small but appreciated gesture as I too were once a beginner and so intimidated by the gym. I have never experienced any problems but have observed how efficient the team is when dealing with upset members. I can see the team is fully supported not only by each other, but especially by upper management.
