I came into the location at San Jose Eastridge Mall with my 3 children ages 2 year ,4 years and 6months and my kids ran into the arcade so I followed. I was notified after entering that I needed a ticket to play in the arcade and informed the staff member Anthony that I didn't know because there are no signs saying this at entrance and there was no staff but planned to purchase a ticket on my phone in the meantime which was the original plan either way. My hands were full so I wanted to keep my kids busy and also put my belongs down so that we could get things together while I got this done so we stayed in the arcade. less than 5 mins passed before Anthony notified me I would have to buy a ticket from him "now" or he would call security. I told him I would buy it online on my phone but instead of giving me time to do so he called over Josh the other manager and they called security and threatened to call the police. After letting the security and staff know what was happening they continued to harass my children and me. I planned to pay for arcade play for my children while I sorted out my tickets which I purchase at a discount through my employer but then the staff turned off the power to the entire arcade. This left my family standing in the dark and disappointed my children when we were trying to make plans to play and watch a movie. I had to walk away disappointed and could not complete my plan to watch a film with my family at this location. I am a long time AMC supporter, I also own stock in the company and generally believe in the brand especially as I supported them during the downturn in attendance during the pandemic. This treatment was very brash, rude and unacceptable. There needs to be some retraining and reworking of the store policy to allow people to use their best judgement when they come in the establishment. I understand there may be a policy to purchase tickets but better judgement could have been used to assess the situation and make accomodations given I have 3 young children and was not causing any problems or ruckus. The least they could do was give my family at least 15mins time to make arrangements. The employees were rude, disrespectful and I believe this was discriminatory. My family did not cause any problems and was not made aware of the need to purchase tickets to enter the arcade which my young children ran ahead of me to enjoy because they don't understand the procedure of buying a ticket to go in there. I never had to do this at any other locations and this was disgusting and left a bad tate in my mouth for this location. This definitely makes me reconsider my investments in this brand and also makes me want to choose to go to the movies at other competitors. My family should not be criminalized for doing innocent things like having children who want to play at an arcade or giving some time for my family to get things together to straighten the misunderstanding out. The local. movie theater should be a safe space to gather and allow my kids a positive family memory. The arcade and floor was also disgustingly dirty with trash littered around the floor. this would be a better use of time than to be hating on some kids. never support this location. the movies is too expensive to have bad customer service by staff and predatory policies that are being enforced with discretion against people of color thumbs WAY down. need to improve cleanliness it is very obvious theme in other reviews and it was apparent...
Read moreMy three year old has autism and global developmental delay. She uses a stroller because she cannot walk correctly. I rented a mall stroller prior to show time and had my daughter’s personal belongings in it when we entered the theater. After checking in we proceeded to the counter and bought snacks. At this time we were told by the concession attendant that the manager radioed him and told him I was not allowed to take the stroller into the theater. I was only planning on using it up until the theater not IN the theater but just to comply, I immediately got my daughter out of the stroller and pulled it off to a side wall by the concession area so that we can return to it after the movie. My daughter was forced to walk a very long distance to theater 13 which is way in the back of the building. we did not finish the entire movie and we came back out to the front lobby to find that the stroller was not there. When I asked the front desk clerk about it, she said she did not know so I told her to get the manager. She then laughed and giggled while radioing to the manager, who I could see in the back giggling as well when she heard I was upset. When the manager came, she said she did not know anything about a stroller. I reminded her that it was her that ordered me too Not use the stroller in the first place. She agreed that it was her that gave the order to have me leave the stroller behind. She said she did not know where it was. She was very dismissive and told me there is nothing she could do for me. I told her I can’t just leave without my daughter’s belongings and then she called security on me. There is no policy anywhere that says I cannot have this stroller inside the theater , there’s no signage about this anywhere and I was not told you entry/tickettaking. Security then told me that she has requested that I am banned from the theater and they asked me to leave before they called the police on me. I see no policy about having a mall stroller in the building and there is no reason why they should have removed it with my stuff inside of it. This is very unfair and cruel and it caused my disabled daughter to have to get out and walk when she should not have had to do so especially after we had just spent about $70 to be there. Manager needs a lesson in ADA discrimination and hopefully the complaint I filed with the ADA will help AMC to make the right decision in firing her. The little immature punks that work there need...
Read moreI was excited for my first theater movie experience and AMC delivered. I had a great experience at AMC Eastridge 15! Dolby Cinema is a truly immersive experience, and it's great that I got to enjoy it for your first time at the movies. I've heard good things about Blue Beetle. The Latino representation in Blue Beetle is important. It's great to see a superhero movie that features a Latino lead character. I'm glad that AMC Eastridge 15 is showing films that are inclusive and diverse.
Now my review in stars The Dolby Cinema experience is amazing. The picture and sound quality are top-notch, and I could feel the vibrations and actions in the movie through my whole body. It was like my body was watching the movie not just my eyes. The theater was clean and well-maintained. The seats were comfortable and spacious, and the legroom was ample. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they were always willing to answer questions. The theater was located in a convenient location (the mall that I have categorized as the fun family eye shopping place. It is great for birthday). It was easy to find and get to, and there was plenty of accessible parking available.
Additional things to note:
The ticket prices are a bit higher than some other theaters, but I think it's worth it for the Dolby Cinema experience. The theater can get crowded, especially on weekends. If you want to avoid the crowds, I recommend going during the week or during the early morning or late evening hours. The theater has vending machines, there is a snack bar that sells popcorn, candy, drinks, and other snacks.
Overall, I think AMC Eastridge 15 is a great place to see a movie. The Dolby Cinema experience is amazing, and the theater is clean, well-maintained, and has friendly and helpful staff. I would definitely recommend it to others. If I could, I will give +5 stars. My experience was...
