Be careful what time of the day you take your dog; really makes a difference on your experience and safety. Day/morning : high possibility if female of getting harassed (by men - had a regular come up behind me and very inappropriately body hug me or women - had a few women be aggressive to combative and then others there tell me “oh good you stood up to that” and others just come up, then point to another person there and start telling me crazy crap about them). Like a total liability to just stand there and watch your dog supervising safe play. Evenings are better as the crazy invalidators seem to be a morning crowd. Could be 4 star but the regulars think because they come often or volunteer that they “own” it. There is a bill board near by (for the park) I posted a sign for local school fair - one of the morning regulars ripped it off … in front of me. I tried too many times for this to be an easy local park - nope. We have to drive 10minutes to walk the dog.

Butcher Dog Park happens to be one of my favorite locations to bring my Giant Schnauzers for almost 5 years. I have enjoyed to see my pups grow and socialize with those of the same species. This location is so popular that parking can be a pain. There are 2 sides labeled for large and small dogs. Summer times are cool when there is a kid pool, my babies obviously love it. I'd strongly suggest swinging by and see your pups having fun and surf on the turf (fake grass). Now remember that this is a dog park- a place for dogs to socialize. Some owners can be rude, some can be antisocial so don't take it personal. Owing a pet is like having a child- Please be responsible for your canine!

I have an older mostly blind medium sized dog and we had a delightful time at this park! We went in the large dog side when we arrived in the small duck side when she got tired. 45 minutes later. She had a lot of fun running around and barking at the younger larger dogs and even had a chance to give a malinois puppy kisses. We went at enough time but we found the other dog owners to be incredibly kind. The dogs to be well mannered and there was enough space for dogs of many different ages and energy/ drives to be able to play without causing issues with seniors. My girl and I had an absolutely wonderful experience. She loves to bark and she doesn't see very well and no one minded her style of play. We met a variety of dogs in our 2 hour visit! This park was a real treat. Many dog owners do not pay attention to their dogs in parks and we have had very mixed experiences...

I come here somewhat frequently with my dog and my partner. It's not the best dog park I've been to, but it hits all the main points. The big and small dog areas are well kept, and are sufficiently large for the amount of dogs that use them. My dog is small, so I've mostly experienced the small dog area.

My only major complaint about this place is that quite a few people drop their dog off at this park and leave (either to sit outside the park or go to the big dog area). I understand that the high fences, and the presence of multiple dog owners adds a level of safety to leaving your dog unattended, but it is never appropriate to leave your dog unattended. Be wary when coming here for that reason. Some people aren't as concerned about the welfare of their pup, which puts everyone elses...
