I'm very picky when it comes to coloring my hair. I've dyed it twice in Asia and I haven't found a decent colorist in the Bay until I met Jay today. I scheduled a free 30min consultation apt like a month prior and they had availabilities with the master stylist Jay. And I was able to scheduled a toning appointment on the same day which was a huge plus bc I drove from Oakland East Bay to San Jose like 1hr away. Worth the drive honestly.

The salon was flexible when I was a few minutes late due to stuck in traffic. I called and texted their customer team number and they responded quickly to confirm it’s ok. The consultation appointment was quick and efficient. I've provided my current hair color n the hair color I wanted to tone back to the customer service team, and Jay saw those pix. I explained that I don't want to bleach bc I did it in Asia for several hours, my hair will more damage if I do it again here. So Jay suggesting a toner blend on the bottom half of my hair that will blend in w my roots. Jay trimmed off a few strands of my hair during the consultation to test bleeding the toner colors on my hair. Which I thought was very detailed and precise compared to other salons I've been to when it comes to coloring.

Jay and I had great conversations. I also did my HC there and trimmed off like 4 inches. Toning, shampoo/conditioner, HC process took around 2hrs. Toner stayed on for 10-15min at most. Shampoo n conditioner was the best part. A nice and deep head massage with excellent quality Japanese hair products, it felt very luxurious and calming. I fell asleep for prob 10min during the hair wash. I saw there's headspa service as well, i can try next time.

I want to give a shout-out to Zach. I have pretty long hair (a bit above my waist) which hasn't been cut in 2 years and the last 3-4 inches were quite frizzy and dry. I booked an appointment with Zach based on others' comment, however didn't really have too much of hope as I'm always skeptical with the first tryout with any new hairstylists I work with!

The result was surprisingly good and I'm so happy with my new hairstyle. I didn't have time to do research of hairstyle ideas so I just told Zach that I want (1) still keep it long (2) cut off maybe 3-4 inches of the bad hair end, and (3) rest he can recommend on the styling. He patiently listened and showed me several pictures on his phone to gather my opinions. I picked several and he further advised the pros and cons, and I selected 3 pictures as the final "inspirational ideas" I chose. I told him I trust his recommendation on what would look best on me and I was not disappointed. Very happy first time customer!

Besides the haircut I also enjoyed other perks like massage of the head while washing my hair. They have a change room for customers to put up the rope they prepared which is quite comfortable lol.

Sara is AWESOME! I got my hair cut by her two months ago, going from chest-length to shoulder-length. I asked for her opinion, and she honestly told me my hair was in great shape and suited me well. I was surprised to hear a hairstylist suggest I didn’t need a cut, but I insisted because I wanted a change.

At first, I had mixed feelings about the new style—I thought maybe Sara was right, and I shouldn’t have pushed for something different. HOWEVER, all my friends kept complimenting me, saying the layers looked fantastic. I started loving the new style as I realized how easy it was to handle and style. Plus, Sara’s layering technique gave me flexibility: if I wanted a shorter look, I’d bring the shorter layers forward and leave the longer layers in the back. For a longer style, I’d pull the lengthier sections to the front.
