I visited this store as a long-time fan of New Balance and someone who genuinely enjoys shopping for shoes. However, my experience was deeply upsetting and disappointing. As an Argentinian Black male with dwarfism, I expected to be treated with respect, like any other customer. Instead, I was subjected to ridicule and unprofessional behavior from the staff, who laughed openly at me as I browsed.
This behavior was not only immature, but discriminatory and entirely inappropriate. No customer should ever be made to feel humiliated or mocked because of how they look or where they come from. I left the store feeling embarrassed, disrespected, and unwelcome.
I am sharing this experience in hopes that it will lead to better training and accountability. A store that represents a respected global brand like New Balance should uphold values of inclusion, professionalism, and basic human decency. Sadly, that was not what I encountered during my visit.
I sincerely hope the management takes this feedback seriously and implements changes to ensure that no other customer is treated the way I was. Discrimination has no place in any retail...
Read moreThe sales person was compitant and knowledgeable about the product. My problem with this store starts when I inquire about any potential military discount. I am used to hearing "no" or "sorry" and it's not a problem. It was a shock when the sales person said, " the owner told me to tell anyone asking that "I don't want to". It makes me think of a Scrooge type character that counts his money and thinks he's a great business man. I suggest if you need a pair of new balance and you're in San Juan, get your feet 3D scanned and try on the shoes in this store, then thank the sales associates and go home and order the shoes you want online and let this business man know that telling your employees to tell military personnel that he needs $15 more than the patriot that willing to die for your right to say any stupid think you want, like no "military discount...

They have a machine that measures your foot. I only know this because it’s talked about it on the national website. I’m pretty sure the one here is either broken or they wouldn’t even bother with it.
Parking is a bit uncomfortable, but doable.
The vibe/look inside is nice. They should open a bigger store and...
