Definitely a huge let down especially for the prices. Had the Connecticut Lobster roll with tots and a drink for $27. The quality of the lobster was overcooked and rubbery. The size of the $23 sandwich roll was more like a mini appetizer. You do get a large portion of semi warm soggy tater tots. Also ordered the $10 bowl of what was supposed to be clam chowder. They should have named it potato chowder. Just all potatoes and maybe a couple of tiny clams. Also had the bowl of lobster bisque. The flavor was good and was certainly the best thing we had from this over glorified food truck. It has a bunch of celebrity endorsements and they spend a lot on packaging. Cousins Maine Lobster would be better off spending the money on the quality of the food, portions and strive towards some kind of value. I understand that lobster is expensive but if you can’t even get the tots right and have to load your clam chowder with just potatoes then customers just won’t come back. We spent $54 for a this meal and I know for some people that may not seem much. It’s just that it was so poorly executed. Hope you can do better than this. So many food businesses are failing and we just hate to see that. Portions are getting smaller and prices are definitely getting out of control higher but I don’t think you can have the quality of food go down...
Read moreWell, we've seen these guys on the food network and all over social media, so naturally we had to bring out our rainy-day fund so we could try more than one food. My Hubs and I ordered two Garlic Butter rolls (which is new), the Lobster tacos, Lobster bisque and the clam chowder. Hands down;? It was the best Lobster sandwich we have ever had. I mean, We've been all over the US. A pier in Cali was an over priced Lobster that was served with the innards in it and cost more, yuk! The East coast/ Southern states Lobster is just incredible. Cousins brought just that; the freshness, flavor and perfection. I was honestly expecting a seafoody-smell or something similar. The garlic butter roll was so full of Lobster that claws were falling out. I loved that! And the tacos,? WHAT is in that sauce?! Oh my goodness, I should have gotten two servings of those! Damn! The clam chowder is by far one of the best I have had. I would rate it a solid A+ along with the Lobster Bisque. The flavor and creaminess of the chowder was perfect. I loved the pepper undertone and the porportion of clams to potatoes. The flavor of Lobster in a tomato cream sauce was just decadent! Thank you Cousins to coming to our area so we could enjoy some "wild-caught Lobster from Maine"!! If we see you again, we'll come and order, keep the garlic butter...
Read moreThe food was good. Rolls are small, my garlic butter roll didnt taste like there was really any garlic or parmesan on it at all. My mom and son got the same thing but with the Connecticut and said they couldnt taste the lemon butter. They gave us big portions of tots tho. I definitely would have liked there to be more garlic incorporated into the garlic butter roll as well as the parmesan because thats what makes you go for it otherwise its just the regular one on the menu. They didnt give us the lemons to go with our rolls so i had to double back for those .Also my bottled drinks were due to expire next month and my blueberry one had some weird buildup under the lid and in the lining of the screw top. Wasnt thrilled about that especially after spending $110 on 3 meals plus having to spend extra to get the bottled ones with our meals. I was the one who hyped this food truck up and really wanted to go for mothers day because it sounded so good but my son and mom werent thrilled and neither was i unfortunately. I wont say its bad because i still enjoyed my roll. I love me some lobster but i cant say it was...
