Metro Taquero — Restaurant in San Leandro

The first time going to this eatery, I would've given it 4 stars. However, my second wasn't so satisfactory. I ordered a chicken Torta from their kiosk menu, and it was a fine experience. It took about 20 mins to get my Torta, and for the wait, the price ($15) and the measly amount of food I got, it wasn't worth it. When the worker gave me my food, I had to open the box, to make sure she had given me anything at all, since it felt very light weight. I took a quick peek to make sure there was something in the box, but when I got home, I was disappointed at how small it was. Remember this cost me $15 dollars, without any sides or drinks. One issue, I had with the torta, as I began eating it, was that it kept falling apart. The chicken they used was cut into cubes, which were better suited to be in a burrito that a sandwich, and kept spilling out all over the place. Eventually it all spilled out and I was left with a lettuce and tomato sandwich.. It was a chore to keep the chicken in the sandwich, frustrating in fact. I order at the drive through. Although the person getting the order is always friendly, the order is often wrong and the size of items on the menu varies greatly depending on who is making the food. I’ve also noticed that most of the women wear blue gloves while preparing the food, but the men are almost always using their bare hands to prepare the food. I see them touching the fridge doors, wiping their faces bc of sweat etc. Would be nice if they would take care and wear the food safety gloves and the food was more consistent. My first time coming to this metro location, and the girl misheard my order over the drive thru order speaker.. I wanted one order of traditional flautas, somehow I got 4 tacos 🤔 I was wondering why it cost so much.. so I went in to the establishment (instead of driving around the drive thru again) and explained the situation. Expecting to walk out with the 4 tacos still in hand, frustrated... I was suprised 😮... the girl gave me back the $7 or so that I had overpaid, and was given my flautas.. cooked to perfection ...
