Habitat for Humanity ReStore San Luis Obispo — Attraction in San Luis Obispo

This is the second purchase we’ve made with Habitat and the staff has always been incredible and friendly. The first time, we were able to get delivery and another piece taken away, and this time, we bought a beautiful couch, but had a bit of trouble with one of the features. The store manager, Quinton (I believe) was incredibly helpful on the phone and sent a staff member to my local address to lend a hand. I know sometimes it’s easy to just take the Amazon route for furniture, but I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area. This review is for the experience of attempting to donate to them. First of all, they have extremely limited days and hours for when you can donate. Donation hours are different than the shop hours, which makes it quite confusing. Once you do manage to arrive when they are open and willing to take a donation, they act as though they are doing you a huge favor by taking good, useable materials from you. How do they expect to continue to 'help people' if they alienate their donors and anyone who tries to help? I just don't get it. I will never try to donate...

This store has everything you might need for your home renovation projects—everything from furniture, appliances, and light fixtures to old/new doors and windows. They have a large selection of paint, electrical, and plumbing supplies.

We went looking for a tall and wide interior door to use as a barn door for our remodel project. We found several and were able to get the perfect brand-new tall door for only $29 (see photo). The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly.
