Taqueria San Miguel — Restaurant in San Luis Obispo

Was working next-door and bought my worker a carne Asada burrito. Lady at the cash register rude as can be in the past shorted me change but I let it go! Mid through the day our worker got really sick and had to use the restroom. I guess he barely made it. He ended up having to go to the hospital where they gave him an iv and said he had food poisoning! Meanwhile My mother who works with me got a call from the owner saying how my worker made a mess in there bathroom in the toilet bowl. Telling her how We needed to clean it and then saying how it would be nice if we cleaned it. Which We would have been nice to clean it if the Girl that takes the orders wasn’t so rude every time we had to deal with her and if she would have came to us from the beginning. Just awful when someone gets food poisoning from the place they eat and they are rude about it! I didn’t realize our worker at the time was in the emergency room until after the fact when my mother talk...

I had both breakfast, dinner, and taco tuesday here. I was beyond impressed. The price is fair for their 805 breakfast burrito. The burrito taste so good I forgot to take a picture. We also had the Carne asada fries with a side of chips & salsa plus horchata. The green and red salsa is delicious. The guacamole served with the Carne asada fries was unbelievable. The fries are thick cut and I love it.

Slight cons-

Horchata taste like it's from a premix. Sort of taste like tapioca pudding.

The chorizo & eggs served with a side of rice and beans was great but the chorizo and eggs were not as good as you would expect when making it at home.

We ordered a side of potatoes and they were a bit under cooked.

Overall the price and quality is remarkable. I couldn't believe I found one place I really like.

Pro-tip: Avoid ordering tacos unless it's on...

Good food but.. no napkins available to clean up the dirty tables; some of which are 3 legged and wobbly. $1.75 for a small Kirkland water. If you order 7 tacos and ask for more than the thimble of salsa they give you, it will be .25 extra for each. The owner is EXTREMELY RUDE. Their ordering number system is messed up so you don't really know when your order is called. And again, the owner is EXTREMELY RUDE, so he goes out of his way to be of no help. They charge a B.S fee of .59 on every order that says on the receipt, "service fee". So all in all, if you want decent food at the cost of being nickeled and dimed (which detracts from the experience), and don't mind waiting in line with a bunch of college kids that don't seem to mind, than...
