One of my favorite parks in town, I appreciate the park for its nearness to the headwaters and Spring Lake which contributes to the clarity and purity of the waters. It is a university park and, in the past, the student-centered nature of the property has been enforced to greater or lesser degrees with signs up that declare it university property, no dogs, barbecuing, etc. Jumping in and letting the current carry you around the bend and continuing on to city park is a leisurely and thoroughly enjoyable pasttime, whether you are ensconced in a...

I went tubing yesterday and when I bought my tubes they just came and put some tubes out didn’t tell us they were ours And kept seeing me standing and waiting around for them to give us a tube until I finally asked them if those tubes were ours and they said yes . Like why do you thinke and my family where still looking at y’all and waiting infront of them . Very bad customer service . Tubing was okay besides current pushing me into thick seaweed spots I had to fight my...

I was looking for a spot along the river to picnic and wade in the water with young kids. All the reviews I read indicated this would be a good choice. The address took me to a parking lot that is restricted during the week from 7:00 to 3:00. I didn't notice the sign and got a ticket. SNORKEL! Safe, standing depth almost everywhere. World-class, go early, the endemic (found nowhere else) species "Wild Rice" offers huge eight-foot long wide grasses that trace the turbulence underwater! Crystal clear, until the dorky non-swimmers walk around. I've lived in Miami, San Diego, and Cancun, and this is the best snorkeling for kids who can use flippers to fight the current.
