Overall, it’s a great place, everything is brand new. The facilities are modern, the computers are updated, and the space is huge. There are plenty of rooms: study rooms, silent reading rooms, kids’ rooms, and even a business center. Everything you could need. The only downside is if you’re planning to do heavy computer work, the internet might not be fast enough. I was only getting between 8 to 30 Mbps, which was a bit of an issue for the programs I was running. I ended up having to hotspot from my phone.

A very good collection of books and resources. They also have a magazine corner with a great collection of all the new magazines. They also have a separate space for Teenage books and Children books and separate places for them to sit and read. Moreover, the membership for the Library will get you free subscription to the New York Times. Overall, the place is peaceful and you'd love it if you are a quiet reader and love to spend your time reading in a quiet and peaceful space.

I absolutely love this library! They have a wonderful selection of books, including so many board books for my children. There are also many awesome kids programs. I’ve always had a positive experience with all of the librarians, and I’m impressed with how late they are open in the evenings!

This is a great library, the staff is very knowledgeable and are constantly scanning the crowd looking to assist anyone they notice searching or struggling. The selection is good considering San Marcos is not yet a massive city, and their content seems to grow and update as San Marcos it's self does. Also, the AC in here is always on blast so it's a great chill break from a Texas summer day, and there are loads of tables and electrical outlets to charge up your devices while having a good amount of space to read, surf the web, relax, make some art, ect. Main reason I'm taking the time to write this review is because a few days ago I was in here using their PC's to print some things and the Lady sitting next to me was having a really hard time understanding why the job application she was filing kept having errors. One of the people who work here heard her frustration and came to help, after sitting next to her and coaching her through the entire process 2 more times their joint consensus was that the error was on the other end, and not anything the woman applying was doing wrong. The Lady applying for the job proceeded to have a full-on crying breakdown and began telling a long story of all the events that have been occurring that got her to this frustrating place. The woman assisting her (I believe her name was Suzanne, or Susie?) though already demonstrating a heroic amount of patience, really really kicked it up a notch at this point and showed this distressed Lady more compassion and empathy than I knew a stranger could, legitimately sat and hugged it out and cried with her and offered a professional amount of support at such a loving and genuinely caring level that was honestly blowing my mind. Just felt compelled to write this and draw some attention to the way the staff...

I've been coming here for a while now to study since i started school a few months ago and the library itself is very nice, big, and clean. Lots of rooms you can book to have private sessions to study in. There are times when people bring in their screeching children and it ruins the whole atmosphere. The library staff do not do anything about it probably because it happens so often. I don't know if it's just me but I come to the library for the relaxing tone and silence I can enjoy. All the library staff is friendly and nice, I love the blonde haired librarian with glasses, young. I did not get her name but she is the best

I've been coming here a few times a week since I started my classes a few months ago. The library is spacious and clean. There's plenty of tables and desks that allow ample room for books. I love that the a few of the tables have plug ins for both 3 prongs and USB. My only complaint is the noise level. Every time I've been here there is usually someone talking on their phone loudly or kids running around and shrieking. Luckily I have noise canceling headphones but I'm still able to hear these loud conversations. A library, to me, is meant to be quiet and/or talking is at a low level. It's very bothersome to others who come to appreciate the quiet and stillness. The staff hasn't done much about it because it just seems to be a normal thing at this particular library. My advice to studiers: invest in a good set of headphones and keep some...
