Nelson Shopping Center — Local services in San Marcos

Bought a mocha frap from icy rolls, went to pick up a manske roll since it had been 20 years since I was able to go back to a city we loved when our children were little only to have my rental car towed. The signage only states that it is a city parking lot. It does not list what businesses are included in said parking lot but since I parked literally by the icy rolls door I figured that was the parking for that entire building. All the businesses, subway, icy rolls, smoothy warriors, Gil's, etc are connected see pictures. There is hardly any parking on the street and in front of Gil's manske rolls is 15 minute parking so I don't know where visitors are supposed to park. It seems that there is a scam going on with the tow company and subway and maybe the city. Which should repulse people from shopping at any businesses near subway. It is such a shame to come visit a city I once lived in and loved to be treated this way. Plus the sign says $75 towing and I had to pay $128.83.....someone outside of subway said they towed 100 cars before noon today in the rain. I should have never gone for a visit. This company works with local Saucedo Wrecker & Towing to scam unwitting visitors. Their parking lot is virtually empty, but they have a towing company watching the lot for anyone that parks and walks away from the stores in Nelson center, even if said visitor does plan to be a customer of a business in their center after taking a photo on the main road. My car was gone within 3 minutes. They do have a lot of signage explaining this, but if they really didn't want people parking there, they would have a gate blocking the passage to the main road and sidewalk.
