Citlali was AMAZING as a tour guide, we had a truly wonderful time with her on the river! We saw lots of wildlife, got very informative details about our surroundings and the history of the area, excellent careful instructions to help us navigate in the dark, and an appropriate pace with mindful breaks for our less experienced group members to keep up comfortably. Absolutely a six out of five star experience, our group was all adults but older kids would have a blast with this for sure. The equipment was great, the stretch of river was peaceful and fun, and we will definitely come back to do this again! First timers: • Wear clothes that you're comfortable rowing in and don't mind getting damp with river water • Bring towels and a change of shorts • BUG SPRAY!!!! • Water bottles are a good idea, remember all single use plastic is banned from the river so go with a reusable container • Only people who can swim are allowed to do this but you still have to wear a life vest at all times, dress with this in mind • Use the restroom before you arrive, the bathrooms are not guaranteed to be accessible and are pretty funky (according to other people in our group)

By far one the best experience you can have at night. Our guide Cade was phenomenal he took his time to explain the history about the river and where to find bats and any wildlife we saw on the way. Cade was always there if you needed assistance and made himself available for any questions. You can tell all the guides love being on the river. They all have fun make the entire experience cool. To be on the river at night was also great. The water was super clear and you could see the fish and rice grass. I can highly recommend this place when you're looking for night time adventure and ask for Cade B. he is the best. What are you waiting on go kayaking as soon as you can don't wait 😉. Note: Wear swim trunks or be prepared to have a change of clothes. Your butt will get wet. Park and meet at the blue van to check in and sign waiver if needed. At the van you will grab vest and paddle and wait for further instructions. You will be given plenty of opportunities to take breaks and look around and take photos etc. Did I mention ask for Cade he is the man.

Paddle kayaking down the river was an unforgettable experience, elevated entirely by the incomparable guidance of Kat with a K. From the moment we dipped our paddles into the water, Kat commanded our attention—not with a heavy hand, but with a rare blend of intensity, expertise, and charisma that made every instruction feel like a secret passed down from a river sage. She didn’t just lead; she taught—explaining water patterns, steering techniques, and safety protocols with clarity and patience, even when our group veered off course (more than once). Her sharp eye for detail meant no one was left behind, and her passion for the river was downright infectious.

What truly set Kat apart, though, was her presence. She didn’t just supervise the trip—she crafted an experience. Every bend in the river felt like a story unfolding under her watchful, encouraging eye. She somehow knew when to challenge us and when to let us soak it all in. By the end of our journey, it was unanimous: we never wanted to paddle with anyone else again. Kat with a K has ruined us for all other guides—and we’re not even...
