Great little beach that almost NO one knows about! It is free! All you have to pay for is parking (Cedar Point). Even the people at the parking booths dont know about this place! The beach closes at midnight also. There is a Fridays restaurant and The Sand Bar back there too! Many volleyball courts along the beach too. Bathrooms at the Sand Bar for public use as well. Oh and they have showers on the sidewalk to rinse the sand away. It was pretty clean when we were there. We made sand castles and relaxed on the beach. The kids went swimming and had a blast! My husband also brought his metal detector but all he found was rusty old nails. Pack a picnic and bring floaties and towels and sun block and pay the $25 to park. It is worth a day at the beach! And since no one knows about it, its pretty quiet except for the hotel guests. We had a...

This was our second time to Cedar Point, and the beach and boardwalk area became open. This was worth the 4-hour drive. We absolutely love visiting Lake Erie, but this place is extra special. First of all, you don't need the Cedar Point ticket or pass to go to the beach. We never knew that. The views here are awesome. You have the park with all its colors and lights, you have a boardwalk sidewalk that takes you along the beach with jet ski and kayak rental places, then there's a view of the lake that goes to the horizon. Granted, it's not a quiet place as you'll hear coasters or riders, but it is beautiful. It has a similar feel to the boardwalk amusement park in Santa Cruz, California. We never knew something like this existed in Ohio and is one more reason we'll take the long day trip...

If you are visiting Cedar Point for the amusement park, don't forget to check out the beach! Easily accessible from the main and waterpark parking lots, and there are two entrances to the park at by Windseeker (on the beach) and Magnum (near Hotel Breakers). Perfect way to enjoy the Lake Erie scenery, and to avoid/detour the crowd that's inside the park.

Best of all, after a long day at the park, if you parked in the main lot, you can take the Magnum gate out, and walk along the beach to get to your car; which makes it great to see life at Hotel Breakers and on the beach, and potentially see the sunset to mark off a great day at...

I will start off by saying we love coming here. It's the closest thing you will get to a beach in Ohio, sunsets are gorgeous. Yesterday left a bad memory for us. I took my kids to swim one more time before school starts. The boats on the lake were playing a very nasty song "Did you wash your p**** today". They played it multiple times. There needs to be some type of beach monitoring for these types of people who play vulgar trash music at a family area. Also dead fish and trash need more frequently cleaned up.
