Rougarou

I actually sort of had high hopes for this ride. It was presented very well, having it being situated over water and such. Also I liked Hydra (yes I know they are completely different but they are both flourless) so I thought I'd like Rougarou. After the ride ended, I was very disappointed. The first half of the ride was awesome! It was very fast, forceful, and fun. The vertical, dive, and incline loop were all very cool. Even the turn around before the drop was intense. However once we hit the mid-course break run, everything changed. I was having so much fun and then once we went into the corkscrew, my head bashed from side to side like a pinball in a pinball machine. There is a technique I could have used, unofficially called the E.T. technique, where you stick your head forward and that eliminates headbanging. I used this on Raptor and it managed to work. So I'm pretty sure if I were to re-ride this and use this technique, my experience would have been a lot better. However I didn't, so the rest of the ride didn't go too well either. The transitions were very tight, which resulted in more jostling. So alas the ride came to an end, and my ears were burning so badly. I got off with a headache and did not plan to go back on. If you plan to ride this, do so but keep your head forward.
