I never had an issue before father's day 2025. An employee by the name of Nanette took the day to disrespect and belittle me as if I was her child. I walked into the store and noticed a large bottle of vodka on sale. I was amazed and thought " perhaps this isn't right or its a father's day sale." At this point I approached the register where Nanette was standing and I said " I have a question." She immediately snapped on me and said "that's not how you start a conversation." I must say hello to her first and then ask my question and she doesn't know whom raised me. She then advised me that I that I wouldn't walk into her home and just go in her refrigerator. I was confused because ma'am you're at work and I meant no harm at all. But she continued on her tangent until I walked away. Once I was ready to complete my purchase I went to the other register where a male employee was ready to check me out. I advised him that I didn't appreciate the interaction with the previous employee but I wouldn't disrespect her because she looks old enough to be my mother. I also advised that I came to purchase alcohol and that I felt disrespected, but I'd hold my tongue. At which point Nanette chimes in again. She continued to belittle me. I asked her if she was the owner and she advised me that she was not. I asked the gentleman to leave my number and name and have a manger/owner to reach out about my experience. He took my info and I'm assumed that was the end of it and she continued to talk trash and be disrespectful because she needed to have the last word. She was nice-nasty on my way out. She made sure to wish me a happy father's day as I walked out. All I could think is if she didn't want to work father's day she should have taken off. Iâm writing to express my deep concern regarding the behavior of one of your employees, a light-skinned Black woman stationed at the first register as you walk in. Her actions were both unprofessional and unsettling.
I witnessed her aggressively demand a customer disconnect from a phone call, despite the fact that the customer had already told me she was pausing her conversation to respect your store's policy. This employee didnât stop there; she continued to yell and antagonize the customer as she was leaving, creating an unnecessarily hostile situation. It was shocking to see someone behave with such ego and disregard for basic customer service.
As a business owner myself, I urge you to retrain this employee immediately. This is not the person you want representing your brand or handling your customers. The sign about phone use was honored, but what I saw was a blatant attempt to sabotage the sale with her uncalled-for aggression.
I suggest reviewing the footage, as her behavior was completely out of line and damaging to your business.

   Read moreWent in today to grab a few bottles of champagne for my job. A clerk wearing a lot of gold jewelry checked me out, I paid cash and she wasnât very pleasant. While I was there I decided to garb a nonalcoholic spirit because I had never tired one before. A guy showed me where they were, I selected the one I wanted and made my way to the register. I was checked out by the same unpleasant woman from my first transaction, when she asked debit or credit I chose credit because I didnât know there was a discount for cash & debit. I was told later on by her coworker when she walked away. I asked if I could switch to debit but apparently once itâs started it canât be undone. When I commented to the unpleasant clerk that I wish I had known about the discount because I wouldâve chosen debit, she just stared at me and told me my total. Why the unpleasant woman decided not to tell me about the discount is beyond me, perhaps because she is unpleasant.
