I was celebrating my birthday and chose to drive all the way out here with my buddies in tow. When we arrived my best friend that has struggled through life due to learning capabilities… Was immediately profiled by the staff and was asked if HE was going to be causing any issues. We had gotten Burger King on the way and he had a Burger King crown and the employee immediately had made a racial joke reference about a guy screaming the hard R on a plane. I was immediately offended, and so were the rest of my friends.
We were then sat after a five minute wait which is usually 30 seconds After all the staff were staring at us. When we got to the table, we sat down and started looking at the menus, and my buddy once was again profiled and was told that he could not order any drinks as he allegedly presented himself as intoxicated.
We had explained the situation in detail, and that he had just gotten off of work and has certain limiting capabilities in the way he talks and pronounce his words. The server then went to speak with management and every single employee (8+) We’re staring at our table and pointing. We then had the waiter come back to us and explain that she could not serve him due to what I had mentioned above. She said that he would need a reevaluation, but that she was not personally feeling comfortable with serving him. We then asked why and they could not provide a single reason. We then had politely asked the waiter for a substitute waiter for a re-evaluation as he was completely sober and it was very apparent. The manager walked to the table and expressed that if he ordered food that he was allowed to drink. So not only was he immediately profiled and discriminated against; he was forced into an extortionate position.
If you are looking to come here and enjoy a night out with your friends, sadly this is not the place where you can go without fearing being immediately harassed, persecuted for your disabilities, and all around...
Read moreA super cool concept and I enjoyed myself here! I would come back if I lived in the area.
Cons: our service sucked. Had to call and waited for 10-15 minutes to either have them come up to us, or bring a beer back. We also had to really search for our tab because they all have separate POS or something? No one ever took our card. Never checked on us or anything.
It’s gross. Plates, glasses, napkins left out for long periods. No one took our glasses when we ordered new beer. The tables were clearly condiment stained. Felt very nerds-basement-y. They need a dedicated bussing person.
On this point: they should have sanitizing wipes available constantly. It didn’t seem like there was any standard way of wiping down or cleaning used equipment and it felt gross to touch until I had another beer.
When we first walked in, they discouraged us from signing up for any waiting list to play consoles because “it would be passed midnight before any open” then some reservations didn’t show up. There were consoles open all night, but we didn’t sign up because they told us it was pointless.
Pros:
Super fun and easy system. I played PC with my friend and had a great time.
Love the entire vibe of this place. Laid back, decent beer selection, and the food looked great. It felt like an old friends sweet game room.
A great way to test out games before purchasing them for yourself.
I tried games I would not have otherwise.
Recommendation: a system where we can say “we are only a party of two and would be cool with having strangers join us in this game.” Like a buddy system. I’d love to meet people here and an “open for social gaming” thing would be so cool.
Wish I had this place where I live. I would absolutely go again despite the cons. At least try it out and see if...
Read moreI was excited to visit to this restaurant die to the feeling of nostalgia and I heard great things. Unfortunately for me, I must've picked a wrong day. The vibes were nice and the atmosphere did have some esthetic views but the wait time I had to endure was quite longer than I would expect as a person who's worked in the service industry there's a certain amount of time that no one should go past waiting for food or drinks especially when so far I've only ordered appetizers. What was supposed to be an early birthday celebration amongst friends turned into a waiting room. I was even going to consider not complaining since the food was really good when it came out but when I paid in cash not only did I not get my change but I had to literally go find my server in the restaurant who didn't even bother to give me my receipt and when I found them they acted as if nothing was wrong. When I finally did get my receipt it was made to look as if it was exact change. So not only did I receive bad service but to have someone steal from me is unacceptable. I was going to tip regardless but the amount is to my discretion not yours and if my appetizer was only $13 I shouldn't have to pay you half of my bill unless I decide to which from the service was not happening. I wouldn't recommend any big parties to visit here until the the staffing is more attentive because from the looks there was more than enough staff on hand because when I found them they were just in a circle chatting without a care while I had been waiting for my receipt for over 15 minutes. It may have been a little busy but I feel as if I was personally discriminated against.( I kept a picture of my receipt just as proof even though it says exact change so I would remember to write...
